    Texas blue wave crushed.

Ted Cuck received more votes than all the dem candidates combined last night.

Not even his republican challengers could come close. WHY Texans? Why are we voting for this guy? You dont have to vote Dem, you could have picked another republican. . . jeez fuckers. . . .

It's the primary...? I mean I don't have very much hope when the real time comes Texans will step up anyways because people are lazy as fuck and won't vote but the first battle was getting beto nominated. Now its time to rally the dems and inspire them to vote.

Maybe independents will push a democrat into competitive territory for the general.

It's just the primary not many vote in them, I didn't. Main voting is in November, which more will attend.

I still think Cruz will win since its Texas, but I intend to vote against him.

Yeah, I'm just venting because I'm getting tired of voting for people who don't win. I feel like I haven't picked a winner in like 10 freaking years. . . . . Its like no one gives a shit about the character of the politicians they vote for. . . . .

Ted Cruz looks like a guy who enjoys walking behind others to smell their farts, and is willing to pay women to fart on him.

Ted Cruz is one of the Republican Jesuses. He'll always be strongly voted for. Doesn't mean the blue wave is in any means crushed, as most other seats and positions are shifting blue.

    Just never forget this picture.

Cruz is just one target of the blue wave. The most prominent in Texas, certainly. But there are lots of other seats at stake, both at D.C. and at Austin. A lot is going to happen in eight months.

Democrat turnout was super strong, but its also only the primary. Like...I was going through a tough life situation so I put voting on the backburner to deal with that. I would have gone if it hadnt been the primary.

I was noticing the huge discrepancy in numbers, too, after reviewing the results. TX may go blue down the road, but right now they are still red. Cruz will win because of money and willful ignorance - the way most GOP candidates stay in office nowadays.

Because Shitstains like ted cruz are the core of republican ideology.

They'll lie and pretend it's not true, but republicans always fall in line.

What is amazing (probably not) is Cruz is so hated in his own party. So because of primaries, where you elect the most extreme and if he has an (R) in front of his name, the hated Rafael Cruz will be Senator from Texas.

Ask most Republicans in Congress they don't want Rafael in the Senate.
Democrats are the best! I will never ever question a Democrat again. I LOVE the Democrats!

Well, if it's any consolation, Cruz's campaign promptly made an ass of him by mocking the Democrats use of a different name. So naturally Cruz went on CNN and somehow made a bigger ass of himself trying to explain it. You know because Rafael Cruz has a big problem with people not using their real names.

Cruz is extremely unlikable and tends to make pretty big mistakes. Remember when his massive "power play" was to appoint Carly Fiorina as his VP candidate? Or when he went on TV to publicly admonish Trump for making fun of his wife and ended up looking like a complete joke? That's the one hope you'll have for his defeat.

    Cruz himself.

That isn't the blue wave being crushed.

I think it's likely he will win reelection. What I'm looking forward to is some flipped house seats.

His idiocy is our only hope - but there are still plenty of (R)Idiots left in TX to take his place. Who was the last decent/good person we saw out of there? Johnson?

But @Shon237 is right, they will continue to elect servants of #deplorable45 for awhile longer, merely because of the (R).

I am excited to see how many seats in TX flip - that is the big story.

Sure, but the idea that anything regarding Cruz is an indication of a blue wave being crushed is silly. Cruz was never going to go down in a primary and his chances of winning reelection is good. But, there's a ton of time, politically speaking, between now and the elections. The best thing Cruz has going for him his that a well run and organized opposition could give him a run for his money; that's just not the MO of democrats.

Down ballot races are the ones to watch.

Conservatives are good at unifying and zerging the polls when they feel threatened. Liberals like to sit at home and complain about how fucked everything is on the one day they could make a difference.

Yup and especially so in states like Texas where they'll just throw their hands up and go "But its Texas! It'll be red anyways!".

“It is not acceptable for a big, loud New York bully to attack my wife. It is not acceptable for him to make insults, to send nasty tweets—and I don’t know what he does late at night, but he tends to do these at about 11:30 at night, I assume when his fear is at the highest point,” Cruz said on March 24. “I don’t get angry often. But you mess with my wife, you mess with my kids, that’ll do it every time. Donald, you’re a sniveling coward. Leave Heidi the hell alone.”
