Obama put up higher job numbers in a single month multiple times and every single time he was shit on by the right-wing media and Republican congressmen. There's a letter somewhere out there of a Republican congressmen trashing Obama for a measly 290k/month job growth and then the same guy praised Trump for 220k/month growth, but I just can't remember who that was. I am sorry as someone who knows the business I will tell you that the stock market is incredibly dumb especially more now with algos running the show. If you don't believe me look at what happened with Bitcoin just changing your company's name to include block chain sends your company stock soaring. The stock market is speculative for a reason, Trump moves markets because it is all about making a quick buck.

It really is funny how each side’s administration paints a rosy picture using their version of “fuzzy math”.
~4.1% unemployment is the actual number given by the BLS. The Bureau of Labor and Statistics conducts a rather extensive monthly survey to derive the number. The survey is called the Current Population Survey. The 4.1% unemployment rate hasn’t changed in 5 months.

Funny thing is, when conservatives were reporting the previous administrations unemployment numbers they were including everyone that was employable that wasn’t working whether they were looking or not. Conservatives were claiming as many as “93 million Americans weren’t working”.

4.1 unemployment is a pretty good number. It is the lowest it has been in ~20 years.
As a comparison, unemployment in Greece is 20.9, Spain 16.9, Italy 11.1, France 9, Finland 8.5, Sweden 6.5, Denmark 5.2, England 4.3, Germany 3.6, Venezuela 26, Brazil 13, Canada 5.8, Mexico 3.8...
