Yes, it is. Again, it doesn't change the fact that he paid them to hold a sign that says "Death to all Jews."
Take a step back and look at who is being dense here. You're defending the guy who made an antisemitic joke by claiming he wanted to see if it would actually happen.
I can't tell if you're being this willfully ignorant or you're just trolling me at this point.
Yep, if I were him, I would make sure they can't get any money back again for the rest of their lives.

Please, by all means. Show me what any other media source has been spreading that has been fake or lies. I guarantee you can't find any.
You know what lies. That he's Muslim, that he wasn't born in the US, that he's out to take away your guns, that he wants to force abortion on every pregnant woman, that he wants to make everyone get gay married. Those lies. Oh wait that's what they said truthfully about the last guy. My bad. The new guy was said to have made fun of the disabled, have small hands (implies smaller other parts of the body), didn't sleep with a hooker/porn star, is a terrific guy, very well educated, upstanding citizen, under audit from the IRS, doesn't take money from the NRA, is a Christian, and is the best president the USA has ever had...you know those lies.
I actually agree it was a hit piece, but you're moving the goal posts.
It wasn't fake news. Nothing about it was made up. It was just an opinion you don't agree with or, if you want to go a bit farther, an irresponsible use of their platform. PewDiePie did what he was accused of doing -- the rest was their interpretation of what it means or what should be done about it.
Compare to the behavior alleged in this article, for example. This guy isn't working for George Soros. He doesn't make $320,000 a year. He doesn't work for the CIA. None of these things are honest mistakes; they're simply invented out of thin air. Yet it was claimed that all of those things were true, and they then used those made-up "facts" to impugn him by suggesting that his video was actually a coordinated hit piece rather than a guy who happened to be at the scene. The harassment and death threats that followed were an easily understood consequence of the allegations.
Fake news isn't something you disagree with, it's not honest mistakes, it's not spin or bias -- all of that has existed forever and will exist forever, and it's pretty easy to spot. Fake news is when you make shit up. It's when you falsify the entire factual basis of your argument. That's why it is so insidious; we're no longer even arguing over our interpretations of the same basic facts, we can't agree on the facts themselves. I wasn't in Charlottesville, for example, so to have any kind of opinion whatsoever on what happened there I have to know what actually happened there, and that's what fake news exploits by feeding an entirely false narrative. Don't confuse it with people spinning the facts to support their agenda. It's not the same.
“Nostalgia was like a disease, one that crept in and stole the colour from the world and the time you lived in. Made for bitter people. Dangerous people, when they wanted back what never was.” -- Steven Erikson, The Crippled God
Last I checked he still gets millions of views for his videos, you know, his main content. No reasonable person will say that his career is over with numbers like that.
Secondly, don't try to draw equivalence with the alternative medicine crowd, they are a much smaller portion of the population and significantly less politically motivated.
The left fears Alex Jones and infowars. They also fear Mark Dice and Sargon. In America there is freedom of speech and freedom of press so infowars will win in court within a day lol. Also I love how all the liberals here champion their pride and joy twitter platform for banning conservatives yet despise ISP's for not wanting Net Neutrality. Just shows the hypocrisy and how uneducated the left really is.

Oh the irony. But what about "my body my choice". Freedom means to have a say over your own entity, right? Also if you're heavily vaccinated with mental issues then why do you care if I get shots?
What I mainly meant was don't bring me into the discussion because I was never here to talk about alternative medicine. I never said they weren't significant, I said they weren't significantly motivated by politics.
Most people do care that anti-vaxxers exist, and most experts and professionals do what they can in the field to suppress the falsehoods that anti-vaxxers spread. I see plenty of it all the time.
A major difference is that these people are a small part of the population and therefore can only damage society in small, albeit deadly, ways.
And they will win again. They will claim they aren't a news agency, they are an entertainment site just like last time Alex Jones got sued and won.
Here comes the armchair lawyer that thinks he knows anything. Sorry, but he absolutely has a case, why do you think Alex Jones apologized after his followers attacked that pizza place after Pizzagate? Because he knew that the pizza place would have won, easily. So will this guy.
Wait InfoWars isn't an Onion-esque parody show?
Poe's Law strikes again.
I think it's a pretty decent parody of modern media sensationalism, though admittedly I've only watched highlights and memes. Part of the magic is not putting a disclaimer at front saying it's a gag, with a show that surreal peoples' reactions are part of the punchline.
