Very nice that the DNC flipped this seat (the irony of it disappearing soon is rich). But the first national win for Blue Wave.

I think I read somewhere that if flipped, it would be the first. And now I'm thinking that the article meant first House seat, and I read it as first overall (to be flipped Red to Blue).
But even that excuse is idiotic, because, Moore. A situation I was actively engaged in and celebrated the day of victory. I'm headed for more coffee. Brb.
Noticed the republicans are already making excuses for losing this one.
Trump is now calling Sacco a "weak candidate" who "ran scared".
While Paul Ryan is calling Lamb a conservative, which why the district voted for him.

God I love browsing R/thedonald or r/askthedonald after these events - the amount of butthurt and conspiracy theory touting is hilarious.
I'm just surprised Trump hasn't been pushing voter fraud as the reason Saccone lost, but it is still early.
There's been some tossed out on twitter about Philly buses full of illegals, but it's been more on Lamb being a secret Republican so the Pubs won anyway.
Lamb's one of the more progressive candidates to win in awhile since he actually has the one progressive position that actually matters. He's against PAC money, he's strongly anti-Citizens United.

May 30th, 2019 - Trump admits Russia helped him get elected.
An elected Republican called for biblical law to be implemented and for all non-christians to be murdered. But it's sharia law we should be scared about right?
Republicans ran an actual Nazi for office in 2018 and he got nearly 1/3rd of the votes.
Those guys . . . what a pair.
What bothers me after I get done laughing at those /r idiots is that people out there, voters even, actually believe all that right wing conspiracy crap. It's amazing how out of touch people still are. Not just ignorant, but willfully ignorant.
I can't wait to see the GOP fracture. What will the Trump-right call themselves?
Illegal to not let a candidate run because they are a atheist ( as it should be ). The citizens can vote for what ever reason they want to use. But I see your point. The Democratic party would not be allowed not to accept a candidate who professed such. But as the old saying goes....more than one way to climb a tree.

So the spin for losing a district that's been solidly Republican for a decade (to the point that Democrats didn't field candidates a few times) and voted for Trump by 20 points in 2016 is, "Well, we didn't lose by much!" and "Well, Lamb was further ahead but Trump closed the gap!"
The first is transparently pathetic, the second is specious at best. Yowza.
