The Dark Iron have been in the Alliance for ages but don't feel accepted.
You, as a hero, do some task to help them and prove how much you value them and put your life on the line for them.
In turn they feel a refreshed commitment+loyalty to the Alliance.

Shouldn't take much. A good chunk of them are already in the Alliance thanks to Moira returning to Ironforge and the establishment of the Council of Three Hammers. The questline will likely be about convincing the rest of 'em to come along.

I think recruiting dwarves for war is easiest thing in WoW. They love to fight and punch faces. Especially Dark Iron.

Maybe send us into an instanced BRD to some council meeting held by High Justice Grimstone or General Angerforge that goes sour until the Horde bust in to take BRD for the last time to which we save Shadowforge City and gain the aid of the remaining Dark Iron Dwarves. Probably something like that. Would be cool if we get some of the Dark Iron bosses as allies aswell like Golem Lord Argelmach who may or may not be dead since everytime we kill him its a golem fake made in his image. Plus the Dark Irons are known for their golems so they would have to be relevant.

But I can't help thinking of my own Dark Iron clan. Of the fractures that divide us.

So its likely that the Dark Iron story will revolve around uniting the forces in Ironforge and Shadowforge under one banner

Through a demonstrarion of the united might of the Three Clans, Moiran, Muradin and Falstad prove to the Dark Dwarves of Shadowforge that they need to join the Alliance too, for their reign would be supreme over the Eastern Kingdoms.

As far as i know, in the Alliance Embasy, Moira points out that not all the Dark Iron Dwarves have joined the Alliance, and that she wish to unite her clan under her banner.
