Chronicle 3 how many continents pre sundering?

    One

Azeroth chronicle 3 states that azeroth originally had one continent.

So hopefully that other continent or other side of azeroth bullshit is put to rest.

Zandalar and kul tiras are the last lands on the planet. Nazjatar and nyolotha are more then likely patch content since nzoth and azshara are featured in it.

    Thanks everybody!

Question is will the void confrontation be the argus 8.3 patch or will they drag out one more expansion before wrapping up this franchise and its story

That puts that topic to rest, since we know that Blizzard never retcons anything.

Good work everybody, you can go home now!

Yeah they seem to have listed that on purpose. It stuck out to me when I was reading it too.

Isn't Chronicles "written" by guys like Brann and Harrison Jones? Therefore only a collection of all lore ingame characters of the scholarly persuasion would know?

The point of the chronicles is to bring together all the frayed bits of lore, considering the 3rd chronicle just came out you will probably be holding your breath a very, very long time for a retcon that introduces another continent separate from Kalimdor's shattered bits.

Huh? No? How would they even know most the stuff in the chronicles? They cover stuff before Azeroth even existed, stuff like the void lord's thoughts and goals, Draenor's primordial history, etc.

Chronicles is a money grab. When the guys at Blizzard want to make up a new continent in the addon after BfA, they will just do it.
Maybe they will never make up another new continent on Azeroth, but chronicles is no insurance.

Unless things change that is, I doubt 9.0 will be the last expansion.

Kul'tiras went from a island the size of Gilneas to a landmass almsot as big as current Broken Isles.

What a stupid statement. They will continue WoW until it will be profitable. Dealing with Void will last few expansions, exactly like Burning Legion. They're starting very slow with faction war, and we still have at least deal with N'zoth before Void Lords. Also Sargeras/Illidan story isn't really done, just put to freezer.

And if many years later we finally see Void expac similar to Legion and WoW still will be played by millions, they will invent another threat (we had Fel, we had Void, maybe Death itself this time? or maybe Light and Elune?).

Tel'Abim is a complete blank slate of a landmass.

Draenor still has another continent on it.

The "Underground" of Azeroth has been teased through the years.

That's three possible expansion locales without getting into more radical ideas.

There doesn't need to be another continent for there to be landmasses on the "other side", it just means any that may or may not be there aren't large enough to be consider continents, so I don't expect this to stop people from thinking there could be more land we haven't seen yet.

Kul'trias isn't a continent, it's just a large island, same with Zandalar, same with the Broken Isles.

wrapping up this franchise and its story
Lol, won't happen any time soon if ever, Warcraft is too popular to "wrap up"... They will just fast forward like a hundred years or something and start WoW2 or whatever with a new story in that era.

The chronicles were a big mistake though IMO, because they prevent any games set in the past by spoilering basically everything noteworthy that could take place in those games.

Plus the sundering and cataclysm could easily have created more landmasses. Or they could toss a massive crashed ancient Titan/Alien ship somewhere that gets encrusted with coral and earth. Etc...

    In-game size =\= Lore size

Gilneas is actually much larger than Kul Tiras based on Chronicle Vol 3 maps.

EDIT: Okay so Gilneas is technically larger, but not as large as I thought it was.

There is NO other side of azeroth. The same lands have been presented in chro icles 1 and 3 for azeroth we have a map detailing the planet up to the cataclysm. Thats everything

Bfa introduces no new villans or lands.

Youre not going to like this but the story and game IS ENDING.

Yes yes i know cash cow. Except thats not WoW anymore

Anyone affiliated with the old gods is void lord content.

Thats nolten core, blackwing lair , aq , ulduar, old kingdom, the iron dwarves, all of cataclysm, bits of story on Argus, the mabtid and the plot around the heart.

Draenors other continent is completely and entirely irrelevant and wont be used. Countnon it.

It's funny how the people in charge of writing the history of a game can rewrite the history of the game, isn't it?

    The chronicles are everything.

    Thats not how this works.

Zul azshara nzoth. The final faction war and the final landmasses are in BFA.

Pray 8.3 isnt the boid lords or you wont see a 9.0 because. Void lords and the Ethereals being center stage would be the ONLY thing left

Better start proving why it wont be using lore evidence. If void lords are used in 8.3. Its game over

8.0 is zul and G'huun, 8.1 is confirmed azshara. Nzoth is obviously 8.3, take a wild guess about 8.3

The only alternative to 8m3 i could see allowing a void expansion is nzoth is dead but azeroth is doomed we go to the core and fight the hidden enigmatic leader of thw twilight cult preventing us from stopping whats happened and manifestations of all the Old Gods that contributed the Azeroths corruption. The leader of the cult again i believe would be Jaina because if the faction war ends
Shes not going to be too happy about peace is she now?

    Rofl no.

The Void is the end. And its the only thing left after 8.2 presumably

Blizzard write themselves into corners so often that I'm sure they can write themselves out of said corner with zero fucks given about how nonsensical it is.

G'huun, the blood trolls, Zandalari culture, Kul Tiran culture, Drust, Vulpera and Sethrak appeared from thin air. Zandalar and Kul Tiras look nothing like they looked in the previous Chronicles. But of course there are no new lands, everyone knew the well established Stormsong Valley, Nazmir, Drustvar and Vol'dun!

Blizzard can make up what they want and they will keep doing that for at least a few years.

Blizzard already said that they can come up with new continents with ease. Doesn't matter what is written in Chroncile 3. They can easily retcon it and sell you new chronicle books in five years to make more money.
