    The tank threat nerf on beta is going to destroy m+ pugging.

    Dear God, who thought nerfing tank threat by 80% was a good idea? Finding a pug tank is hard enough as it is. Now imagine how much worse it's going to be once idiot DPS in every group scream at the tank for being "bad" because they can't hold aggro. Even if the tank is good, do you really think most random DPS are going to watch their threat? Absolutely not. The mentality of players now is absolutely nothing like it was 10 years ago the last time threat management was a thing. The result is no tanks are going to want to join group finder m+ pugs anymore.

    Sure, the change is fine if you happen to have a dedicated group of friends at your beck and call to run m+ with, but people who rely on the group finder are pretty much fucked.

    I still don't get what the point of it was. Threat isn't a fun mechanic at all.

    Yeah, because that's what happened when they suddenly made heroics hard again in cata after them being faceroll aoefests in wrath

    It really doesn't make a difference in dungeons either unless your DPS is brain dead. If your DPS actually pays attention it's perfectly fine. If your DPS can't pay attention then they have no business being in M+.

    That said, I think the change was horribly unnecessary.

    Think about it though; if you are good enough to do high level M+, you probably know a little bit about what you're doing. Not that you won't get people who geared well but lack the ability to watch their threat at any level, but it shrinks the pool of potential problems, by its own nature.

    Do you even tried Beta tanking before coming there and create thread?

    The change affects only tanks and healers. The biggest difference from live is now you can't kite shit forever. You actually need to stay and fight/hit/cleave trash packs to keep aggro. DPS still can't steal aggro even if they go super saiyan mode IF tank actually tanking and not Blood Boil/Thunderclap/Concentration >>> run to next room.

    Considering it the change will mostly affect like I said before tanks themselves and healers. Because tanks will have bigger damage pressure on trash packs making affixes like necrotic or bolstering more problematic.

    If incoming damage and problem to drop debuffs will be problem as I think it could become be with new aggro - I can totally see more melee tough specs like retri/fury/arms who can off tank become more demanded in mythic+ rooster.

    it's the end of the world! (again)

    no it won't, it will just put some reasonable limit in how many mobs we can pull and aoe down

    it will also stop situations in which the tank touches the mob once and the mob is fixated on him till death while he's running around pulling everything and kitting

    aka it will remove that feeling that dungeons are an aoe snoozefest which people have been complaining about since forever

    What was their reason behind the nerf anyways? The only explanation I can think of is to nerf the kite tank strat in m+

    ...and then retard DPS will still try to do the same shit they've done for 10 years, they will pull aggro off the tank, they will die, and they will screech at the tank for "not doing his job" even though it's the fault of the DPS. We already see it happen with the skittish affix.

    ye leveling up BFA ain´t a problem but when you get into m+ it's a whole new story. the threat nerf is like having the most annoying mechanic of all(skittish) always active. #feelsbadman
