8.1 will be a big fleet battle, the Horde thinking they decimated the Kul'tiran fleet in the first chapters of the war camapign but will be surprised when the Actual full fleet that Azshara had stolen returns and even more surprised when the Alliance blow up the bombs planted on the Horde fleet.

Honorable Horde, including Saurfang and Rexxar, approach the Alliance secretly to try and push for peace. Jaina screws it up, kills Rexxar, hardens the Horde and the alliance against eachother.

I think Azshara is showing up at Lordearon and thats why theres a big push for naval combat and why the factions dont fight till a stalemate or one loses after Teldrassil. Saurfang replaces Sylvanus who gets put down not by Genn but -dramatic gasp- by her boy toy Nathanos who, after she used a vrykul to give him that pornstache visage she wanted- has started to feel emotions again. Most of all guilt.

Jaina is a great written character, She has had a multi expansion arch. I do not understand how anyone can hate someone with that kind of effort put into them.

It still hurts my heart that Argus was a patch. The fucking titans were a patch. ONE SINGULAR PATCH. After so long it just sucks that it was wasted so hard. I was hoping for a grand planet with flying on, multi layered zones that you need a flying mount to navigate. I had this epic picture in my head for how it could turn out but it was all wasted.

Jainas character has done more flips than a gymnast. It's almost as if they are playing a game of consequences with her and no one knows what was writing before. Just look at the various stories since Theramore; in game she was anti horde, in the book she made peace with them (of a fashion) then WoD comes a long and she is for no visible reason anti horde again. Legion starts and she spits her dummy out because she didn't get her own way.

She has had a full descent into distrust and hatred, a valid one. You listed like one time she changed her mind so good on the 'flips' there. Also, books are a cop out and an ass pull, This is a game so any story they'd like to present shouldn't have to be read from a different medium. So yes, I still stand by my belief that she is well written and has had a valid descent into hate.

I like the idea of the descent into madness/hate etc.

Unfortunately, Blizzard sanctioned the books and as far as I am aware, they are canon. She goes from 'I'm gonna destroy Orgrimmar' to 'No, that's a bad idea'. Then from dismantle the horde to making peace with them. Then she's anti horde in the legiondary quest line from WoD, Legion prequest, she stomps her feet because the rest of the council of 6 outvote her.
