If you're trying to call out "the left" for being hypocritical and defending their own... no one was defending Kevin Spacey or Louis CK for the things they did. The left didn't "jump to their defense," they took the context of the situation into account and decided that they were scumbags.

People are trying to go tit-for-tat "this is equal" in this situation but always ignore the context.

That's great my friend, but that was not what I was aiming for. I think a lot of the people that support that claim are either disingenuous or pretentious, and they wouldn't have shown the same support if the person at hand wasn't carried by celebrities or a comic fandom. Which is why I made up an example of a 'nobody' and gave a trait that quite some people dislike (immigrant). I want people to think about whether they truly believe their moral judgment on this. Whether they truly make their voices heard because they believe so much people can change (and yes of course they can, I don't doubt that, but that's not my issue).
