they say u are shallow as if there is something wrong with wanting to date people who u think are physically attractive... how can they think it is wrong to want to be with someone who is physically attractive instead of someone who is repulsive to u?

I think you are missing a very important distinction between "I don't find you physically attractive" and "you are ugly" first is stating a preference. second is passing a judgement on a person.
I don't find Channing Tatum to be physically attractive (yes I am attracted to men in general, so its not a matter of sexuality), but that doesn't mean he is ugly or I'm justified in calling him ugly. it just means he is not to my taste. meanwhile, here you are claiming that people you are not attracted to are basicaly ugly. THAT is a problem that others are having.

Because most of the people who don't want to date ugly people are ugly themselves and their friends are tired of them being the third wheel on date night.
