Dodge City, Kansas has one polling station for its 13000 Voters

    TLDR:
-Dodge City's single polling station is located on the outskirts of town, 1 mile from the nearest bus stop
-However, the Dodge City School District operates 12 Public Schools in the area
-There are also 20 Churches in Dodge City
-60% of Dodge City's population is Hispanic
    -Thanks Kris Kobach!

There is no more iconic duo than Republicans and racist vote suppression.

Oh look, more Republicans trying to suppress the vote. And then Republicans wonder why they get called racists.

When can we make this shit illegal?

I'm sure it's just an honest mistake.

When we vote them out of office, so probably not in our lifetime.

It was illegal until the Roberts Court gutted the Voting Rights Act. I believe that Anthony Kennedy was very sure that racism didnt exist anymore, because he has not personally seen it.

More like a trio, the racists and their Republican friends are enabled by conservative judges.

They will keep doing this to make it harder, the US is not exactly very democratic any more.

Well... to be fair, it never really was.

Evidently Dodge City only having one polling place goes back at least 20 years, so Kobach himself isn't directly responsible for this obvious voter suppression tactic. He's definitely in no hurry to fix it, though.

Mail in ballots. Get the early, send them back before election day.

    Constantly check if you're registered.

I got my ballot in the mail today.

I'm sure this is still one polling station more than the politicans in charge are comfortable with.
But maybe they could move it somewhere more central and easier to reach?
    Manhattan should do, right?

Good news everyone: Dodge City has been rescued!

I'm sure a capable democracy is one that's carried by a capitalist entity.
Especially one that donates money to GOP PAC's.
But at least Lyft drivers will be decently compensated for giving out discount rides all election day right?

Meanwhile I just voted in my town's civic elections. The line up was minimal but it was still a whole 3 minute walk from work! My feet are killing me.

The notion that Kansas is a swing state is pretty silly. Kobach won the race, when he won the primary.

No. Kobach is an incompetent bozo who's only doing well amongst die-hard GOP voters. Furthermore, Sam Brownbeck is also an incompetent bozo who fucked Kansas over pretty badly.

I wouldn't quite call Kansas a purple state but the Democrats could run a stapler for Governor and people would still vote for it because the Kansas GOP have been fucking up that badly recently. This is independent of people wanting to give Trump the middle finger.

More racism from the party that brought you ridiculous gerrymandering and voter suppression.

Then why are they making it so hard for people to vote?

Shouldn't it be "Dodge City, Kansas has zero polling places"? Since in the article it states they moved the one they had to a site outside of the city itself.
May 30th, 2019 - Trump admits Russia helped him get elected.

An elected Republican called for biblical law to be implemented and for all non-christians to be murdered. But it's sharia law we should be scared about right?

Republicans ran an actual Nazi for office in 2018 and he got nearly 1/3rd of the votes.

Die hard GOP voters is the bulk of Kansas. What are you on about?

What's different in Kansas, after Brownbeck's idiotic tax plan? Like, what has changed, other than a budget problem? It's seems just a tad politically expedient, for the left to be critical of deficits in state houses, while being just fine with them at the federal level.
