Wrath of the Lich King marked Blizzard the trend of expansions having a specific narrative throughout, almost like a soap opera that unfolds with every patch whereas prior to that, patches were more or less episodic and less emphasis on story and adventurers more or less role-playing in the multi man online game as it was originally intended.
Arthas the Lich King was on the box cover of Wrath of the Lich King.
Deathwing on Cataclysm.
Chen on Mists.
Grom on Warlords.
Illidan on Legion.
Lastly, generic orc and human on BfA (I guess we're back to episodic patches between the war story, Azshara and N'zoth?)
My question is, if you could design the next box cover, who would be on it?
Whatever the theme may be (Death, Void Lords, Faction War continued, etc.) try to keep in mind, the box cover should be revealing to what you prefer; the expansion focusing on one narrative across all patches or patches serving episodic stories with a very loose connection or theme (Azerite links the war, N'zoth, Azshara, etc.)
