Sorry if I'm not going to take someone at their word when they name themselves after an infamous con artist criminal who went to prison for fraud.

There have been plenty of conflicts and they haven't done shit. The only reason we haven't had a global war is thanks to America keeping everyone in check.

Only, the "left" aren't complaining about sneezes, they're "complaining" about politicians being wholly retarded as can be easily deciphered from their actions.

YAWN, your kind will defend anything.

The UN doesn't view the US as a joke because of the gender of the people representing it.

Other countries represented by women are well respected just fine, so... Your attempt to deflect is just pathetic.

    .....also the security council

Also how do you think America has that projection of power? Other countries allowing them to build military bases on their soil. American is the strongest but it's requires allies like everyone else

It's the UN. Being a stupid fuckwit seems to be the prerequisite to be within that group anyway.

It's not like her being there will make the UN anymore useless than it already is.

At this point, I just want to be off this ride.

I want to go two days without hearing anything about Trump. I'm sick and tired and I just want peace and quiet

    OT: From wikipedia:
Prior to her positions at the Department of State, she worked as an ABC News correspondent and news presenter on the Fox News program Fox & Friends.
And there it is: she used to be on Trump's favorite show. Doesn't matter if she's wildly unqualified - that's good enough for Trump.

The security council is the UN's floppy dick. Always has and always will be useless.

America doesn't have to beg for allies like some other countries (Canada). If you want to be on the right side of history, you side with America (otherwise you will have no history).

Another shit-show disaster in what is now the worst administration in U.S. history - it's not even close. It's like Resident Trump goes out of his way to find the most unqualified people, ever.

Obama, during his Presidency, took an evening when he was in Europe to sit down with noted scientists, including Stephen Hawking and the Director of CERN, just to discuss ideas. Resident Cheeto pays off porn stars.

    "Both sides"!

Trump is 2 years into his Presidency. Technically speaking, this Presidency is brand new. The UN Ambassador job is one of the most prominent foreign policy jobs in the US. It has long been the stepping stone to a (deputy or otherwise) National Security Adviser job, Secretary of State, US Trade Representative, or other big-seat foreign policy job.

This is not US Ambassador to Malta. This is a job that, historically, for a 2 year Presidency, there should be a significant line for, and it would be a line with experienced foreign policy hands in their mid 40s to mid 50s who are "on deck" for an even bigger job down the road.

The fact is, Trump is going with this person because just like the rest of his government, nobody wants to work for his administration. He can't recruit talent. He keeps relying on people doing second tours in jobs, or people who the offer is so good, they can't say no to.

The foreign policy hands that would be logical to be the next UN Ambassador? They're all waiting Trump out. They'll serve the next Republican President.

Donald Trump's 2 year old Administration is staffing itself like one in year 7, when everybody senior is on their way out and the Administration is stacking itself with lower-level or career folks just to get to the end of its term. It reminds me when Obama searched for a new Secretary of Defense after Chuck Hagel,he went through three names who a ll said no, before he "settled" on Ash Carter, who was a career Pentagon guy, and choice #4. Obama's top pick would have been the first female SecDef, but said no because she likely would have been offered the job under Hillary Clinton, at the start of a new Administration. And where would you rather serve... at the end of an Administration or the Start?

That this Fox News Anchor is getting this job has nothing to do with "the left". It illustrates the profound talent drought the Administration is suffering from as it struggles to fill jobs. Nobody career minded who has options would join this administration, which has the stench of death on it.
I would rather have her than Jon bolton

That sounds like something Trump told you to say.

It's nice to know you don't tolerate politicians who lie, which means you will absolutely stop shilling for the king of liars... Trump, right?
