For a movie I've literally never seen or actually even heard of the last movie I've personally seen her in was 21 jump street where she just didn't seem that natural in my opinion. A marvel movie requires a decidedly different skillset than dramas. Tony is RDJ without him he would be a vastly different character and I don't get that feeling from what I've seen so far from her.

I honestly don't care to see trailers now. They always show the good parts of the movie, then when you DO see the movie..you're not thrilled cause you've seen those parts in the trailer. I used to enjoy seeing them as a kid but as an adult..you lose part of the WOW factor that comes from seeing trailers. *the fact that they show a few diff trailers for the same movie is pretty stupid*

Yes, seriously. I haven't seen that movie, so maybe she's capable of more than she's shown in...literally everything else, but yes, she's generally not good, not even fucking CLOSE to RJD's level.

I reviewed her list of movies. I cannot say I have seen a single thing she's been in. Not even Kong: Skull Island.

I'm not saying that's bad. A lot of actors that are famous now had to start in something garbagey. But that's not saying anything good either.

Well shes only really been the big lead in one film that I know of and she played a rape victim.

So quite different to pulling an entire franchise/movie on your back. Something only few people can do anyway.

For every Harrison Ford theres a dozen Sam Worthingtons or Jai Courtneys trying to fill those shoes

Made $80m on $40m and was rated R at a time when comic movies weren’t doing all that well(thanks Schumacher). While it wasn’t massive, it did turn a profit. The point, though, is that you’re doing what people are with Black Panther. Ignoring the movies that came before it.

No it did not. 40 million was the budget without the marketing cost. Marketing is usually around 50% or more of the movies budget so lets be nice and say it was 20 million for marketing. That is now 60 million total. Also remember that the studio does not get 100% of the ticket sales. So that movie lost money

I'm waiting for Captain Marvel because I want to see another piece of this big Avenger puzzle and I can't but have joined the hype over the recently released Avengers 4 trailer, like the stuff!

Making her sound oriental or something, cool your jets. Its only just ok to have a white lady lead, we cant have an ethnic lady lead yet dont be crazy. Its the hypocrisy of hollywood.

I get your point, some roles are easier to win awards than others, cant really say shes a bad actress for winning it though.

Might as well give her a chance, you either like marvel films or not by now they are all pretty much the same but with different tones and styles.
