I don't know what he'd think would happen. Even if he made a biopsy, edited some cells and put them back in, they'd probably just die like any other cell. He cannot edit any meaningful number with whatever means he might have had. Originally Posted by The Stormbringer

The technology is easy and cheap enough to be done in a garage, but that doesn't mean everyone who does it in their garage is going to have it work. Gene editing is complicated and still not fully understood.
We'll get there. Sooner than you'd might think. Remember what computers were like 20 years ago?

I don't even understand how editing the DNA of an adult human could be possible - especially with a needle. This sounds so fundamentally bullshit.
You can edit the DNA of a single cell, like a sperm cell or an egg cell - then let it replicate from there on.... hence you create an edited human.
