except im not? what dances am I not in touch with? watch the video linked above literally.
I know what the male blood elf is, napeleon dynamite, the treant is the twist, female tauren electric, male tauren has part of the peanut butter jelly time, female troll is taylor swift, male pandaren sexy and i know it
etc
but there IS ALOT that are just ? "general dancing"
BE female is Britney Spears. Draenei female is belly dancing with some Shakira moves.
Most dances are iconic. https://wow.gamepedia.com/Dancing
1. The female dance is not britney spears, it is from a video that just happened to be to a britney spears song.
2. the belly dancing is generic belly dancing, some of the moves may have shown up but its just generic belly dancing, and i couldnt see that.
According to the Burning Crusade Collector's Edition DVD, the blood elf female dance is made up of excerpts from various Britney Spears videos.
hmmm i still dont quite see it though, nor can people lok at the dance and go "i know where that is from"

... i dont understand what you are saying at all... what are you saying?
1. The female BE dance is primarily pulled from the Britney Spears "Toxic" music video. This single was only a couple of years old when Vanilla / BC came out.
2. Shakira is easily the best known dancing pop-star in the US that did belly dancing. She was at the height of her fame in the US when Vanilla / BC came out.
It was pretty obvious to anyone who was old enough to be aware of pop culture in general at the time where those dances came from. Looking back, you don't have that context, so your mistake is understandable.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutesOr should I?

General?
Really?
Seriously?
It definitely is not. You can check the video yourself, it has next to no choreographed dancing, and the little it has is not even similar to the Belf female dance. I don't know if the dance is modeled after Britney's choreo from some other performance, but it 100% is not from Toxic's music video.
"We don't care what people say, we know the truth. Enough is enough with this horse s***. I am not a freak, I was born with my free gun. Don't tell me I'm less than my freedom."
Since it cant even point them out.
Its just normal belly dancing, shakira just made belly dancing abit more main stream
Literally a genre of dance, so yes, general
Again a genre of dance, so yes general
Not actually based on that, idk why everyone keeps linking it, but none of dance moves are in it.
Again a genre of dance, so general
Again literally just... a thing.
Again a genre of dancing called liquid dancing. not really famous or recognizable as "OH THATS MC HAMMER!"
And people keep saying this but i dont see it, scar was laying on his back and swang his paw slightly back and forth for a few moments... it seems far
Now again, the new dances are 3/4 just general dances aswell, so im not saying they are better, just that... they are inline with the current dances...
cept kultiran male, its fucking amazing.

what people are seeing is this video where the girl danced to toxic, and think that it was in toxic.

1. no its not, toxic has very, VERY little dancing.
2. shakira is very well known. But she uses NONE of those moves. she just did bellydancing, and the draenei moves are belly dancing, which the draenei's moves do not even show up, they are "based" off shakira's belly dancing aparently.
that one guy from metalic headbanged once, does that mean undead male is based off metalica dude?
and no, i was alive during those times, very.
here is toxic for reference. The blood elf dance is based on that video i link above. which aparently each move is a move from a random britnet spear song.
so the blood elf female dance is a compilation of like 9 dance moves from all different britney spears dances, which i have yet to see ever one of them. so its rather forgetable, but yes it is... loosly based off britney spears.
You see a bit of the dance when she's doing the crazy Bloodrayne segment of the video, but it's much more prominent in her live performances.
The female blood elf dance has 3 primary components. 2 of those 3 are from the Toxic live performances.

Look up live performances of the song. You'll see them there.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutesOr should I?
Sure they get new dances but not the previous allied races.
Man those new dances are shit.
Well of course you're welcome to your opinion on the dances, but there's not much to disagree with as far as actual history and the actual influences of Zandalar's culture now. The only people that I've seen complaining about African accents are people that don't understand the history of the real world influences in Zandalar's cultures.
Their buildings and clothing are Mesoamerican, their religion, tapestries, masks, huts, and even some weapons are much more African inspired, or a mixture of Aztec and African cultures. Which mirrors modern cultures in the Caribbean and South America due to the Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, and English.
Also that "retarding twerking" (as you put it) is based off of traditional African dancing. You don't have to like it, but i find it a bit insensitive to hear it described in such a manner. Things like samba and salsa are a mixture of different dance styles from Europe, Africa, and South American native dancing, which is much more modern, but it would somewhat fit the Zandalari as well. Especially considering that the Darkspear capoeira is a martial art based off of mixed cultures as well.
But, if they wanted to truly lean in to the Mesoamerican theme in their dances, that's not the European ballroom-inspired dancing you're thinking of. It's all very spiritual, similar to the Native American dances in North America and the traditional tribal dances of Africa as well.

3 hints to surviving MMO-C forums:
1.) If you have an opinion, someone will say that it is wrong
2.) If you have a source, there will be people who refuse to believe it
3.) If you use logic, it will be largely ignored
btw: Spires of Arak = Arakkoa.
Blizzard's lack of effort in this game is becoming more and more obvious. These dances look unfinished, and I hesitate to say, but they also look terrible.
Why did only these two races get new dances, and the other 6 new ones did not?
