Or, looking at it from a different viewpoint, May invites party leaders to a discussion, then proceeds to invite someone that isn't a party leader for some reason.

And judging from what the people that stayed have said, it was completely fucking pointless anyway as May stuck to her previous line of "you all need to compromise by agreeing with me, full stop".

More childish party politics from both sides, which doesn't help the country one jot.

Because certain elements of the Labour party prefer a life of eternal opposition while strictly maintaining their "socialist principles", to actually winning elections (by compromising with the center) and having the power to improve the country.

Those elements also tend to be exceptionally difficult to remove from party leadership once they get a hold, which is unfortunately what we are seeing now.

Makes sense, we leave with no deal in 9 days but it would be silly to focus on that and ignore important details like this...
He represents 11 votes, who the hell cares if they are an official party yet or not?

He's the "outsider" swept into power by a wave of anti-establishment sentiment despite having been in Parliament for ages and has a rabid, loyal base like any good populist has. Funny thing is, he had to force a change in Labour Party leadership election rules through the courts, else he would have still never made it.

Fucking hell the guy is just showing how much incomepent he is. If he's crying about how the TIG are not a party then he needs to get over it. They are a party just not official and Umunna is basically their leader. Both May and Corbyn need to go. Unfortunately too much of the Labour party membership would rather the country burn than replace Corbyn, blaming things like "Teh Main stream media!" or "They don't unsterdant White working class people. You know the only truely oppressed class." or "Neo Librlz!" .

I wish I could say that I am surprised that you would attempt to defend Corbyn's actions.

We're in the middle of the worst constitutional crisis in modern history and we have a situation where the leader of the opposition is storming out of a meeting like a child because he doesn't like one of the other attendees!

In normal times this kind of behaviour would be comical but given the gravitas of the situation it is simply unbelievable.

Who gives a rats ass if she is not a party leader. There's more at stake here than retarded principles.

I wish I could say that I'm surprised that while May fucks the entire country over, you focus on something that Corbyn has apparently done wrong. I guess you didn't notice the fact that I finished my post by criticising both sides. Because when both sides deserve criticism, I hand it out to both sides. Unlike some.

Back my deal. Back my deal. Back my deal. Yawn.

Oh another deluded person speaking. Bitch go!

Your deal is shit. Your idea of compramise is "Bend over and do what I say."

You're officially the worst PM in modern history with over 40+ defeats.

    The country hates you

    Your party doesn't follow you

You're the only PM to lead a government into contempt.

In any other era you'd be ousted harder than any PM in modern history.

And after fucking up Brexit royally for years, May starts by laying the blame where she thinks it belongs; on MPs.

She needs a plaque on her desk; "the buck stops anywhere but here".
