"Definitely a progressive storyline that has advanced in its plot every patch so far just because you don't like it doesn't mean its not there."
Who said I disliked it? I just said it wasn't a progressive nor developed story line, and I'm right. It's most definitely not. Anduin barely gets any screentime, the Horde does fuck all, Sylvanas is still acting like Garrosh 2.0 over there, the Old God shit feels really out of place though it is cool, and what the fuck happened to the whole Silithus Wound B-plot going on?! -_-
I bought Monster Hunter but haven't gotten around to playing it. I broke my hand slightly before release so I couldn't grip anything.
I tried SWTOR back in the day and it wasn't really my cup of tea. It was pretty okay but nothing that really got me hooked.
Final Fantasy I tried out aswell but couldn't get into the gameplay or the particle effects.
Guild Wars 2 is something I tried with friends back when it was pretty new, it's pretty decent but it feels shallow in that there aren't really any classes/specs that have any resource other than cooldowns. Atleast not last I checked.
I tried Black Desert Online aswell, gameplay was pretty cool but the rest of game is very eh and extremely pay to win.
As bad as BfA class design is, I feel like a lot of people have gotten pretty spoiled with how good gameplay and class design WoW had.
It feels like at this point I can just wait and hope for WoW to get better or that somehow a more complete MMO comes out on the market.
Progressed in 8.1.5, did you do the follow up quest to transport Mother to the Heart of Azeroth with Magni? Also in 8.2 its progressing...lol
If you're going to reply to me, quote me lol...
and you aren't right but okay lol, your term of progressive is apparently different then the words meaning or you're trying to back track on what you previously said, but okay. Not really here to debate with someone who isn't really clued in to whats going on or what has or is happening in terms of the story nor someone who declares themselves "right"

Gaming and WoW stuff
I think there are many factors.
- removal of tier sets for raidtransmogs
- removal of artifact weapons and the progress
- removal of class halls and it`s content: storyline, transmog rewards, mount reward etc.
- adding a bad azerite system which added even more RNG to the allready existing titanforge RNG.
- missing questhubs with rewards ( suramar / broken Shore )
- adding a super boring warcampain; which has no rewards at all.
- mission tables only usefull for azerite power / weekly island rewards.
- Heart of Azeroth is only an ilvl pusher and unlocks azerite traits - which just felt boring.
- RNG loot for pvp players and it `s stupid weekly reward.
- boring and unrewarding island expeditions; untill the hotfixed them 6 months after launch.
- emissary chests have no real reward. Many people hated them in legion because of the random mounts - but i think it was better than no reward at all.
In Legion i felt like i allways had sth. to do - which i am completely missing in bfa.
I don't mind complains, but wow, I am absolutely opposite of you. I HATED Legion with all my heart. It was a never ending grind mess. BFA is still fairly grindy, but raising ONE neck is alot faster and smoother than raising 3 artifact weapons etc.
WoD was absolutely amazing. The raids and the dungeons were topnotch. Some people said it lacked content, but I rather have too little to do than too much. Playing stressed and burned out like I did in Legion was HELL.

Yes, please continue to list the GOOD things of BFA. In seriousness, artifacts was awful, tier sets were too OP to ignore and when you need specific gear, that sucks. Invasions was AWFUL, not even almost worth the time.
???????????
Why would you ignore tier sets when they brought a fresh system to a class and were pretty much the biggest incentive to raid?
I'm very confused.
Even if your specific legendaries were something like shoulders and chest, you always had enough slots to get 4set.
I loved Legion and played most of it, but after hitting 120 in BFA I've just stopped playing mostly except to log on occasionally, play some, and then remember why i stopped playing in the first place. My top 5 reasons why BFA is worse (some of these apply to Legion too, but I was willing to overlook them back then):
1) Removal of artifacts made us feel less powerful. Some classes just don't have the same flow as in Legion, and play rather clunky. I feel like class gameplay is at an all-time low.
2) GCD Changes, adds to #1 as well. Combat feels slower and less exciting.
3) Lore isn't as interesting. Continued anti-flying pathfinder mentality by Blizzard
4) Island Expeditions / Warfronts were a bust
5) More casino loot, RNG PVE Gear (wf/tf), removal of ML, still no PVP vendors (but no stat templates either)
There is definitely a huge drought right now in BFA that didn't exist in Legion. My friends list is almost empty, and hardly anyone in my guild is online anymore.

Got Warfronts and island expeditions r boring.
Got azerite gear didn’t really add much, nothing gameplay defining and no new abilities.
Lost artifacts, which added a new ability, gameplay defining abilities, and an additional progression path that was rewarding.
Lost set gear, something new and exciting every raid tier that would slightly change gameplay up every raid tier.
Lost legendaries, had major gameplay changes and/or cool effects.
As u can c we basically lost stuff and didn’t gain anything. New neck stuff might be some what cool but probably to little to late. Gear is pretty boring overall, ilvl is all that matters. No new spells or talents.
Legion sucked. But people were so happy to quit WoD that they tend to overrate Legion.
might be unpopular but i am with you there. WoD made me feel like playing an RPG again. You go out and find npcs for your garrison that give you a sense of progression thats not just ilvl upgrades and gets replaced next content patch. Treasures in the world actually had identity and werent just artifact power or azerite. The world itself felt much more real aswell and wasnt just themized random terrain.
Pathfinder is blizzard's way of manipulating their playerbase, get a clue.
How do you even ask this :l
A lot of classes were complete shit, the RNG ontop of RNG ontop of RNG.
Oh hey your weapon wasn’t at a certain level? Guild declined.
Oh hey, you don’t have the best Legiondairies for your class? Guild declined.
WoD, Legion And BfA are all absolute trash. MoP was the last expac released that was good.
BfA has that fuzzy "lost focus" vibe of WoD wherein they obviously are struggling with the expansion systems that did not pan out (WoD Garrisons akin to BfA Island Expeditions and Warfronts for instance) and at the same time the story is also blurry and a mess. Legion's story felt more focused.
I'm not as min-maxer as some or most here so maybe that is why I enjoyed Legion's Artifact (maybe not so much for alts initially) and Legiondarys alot more than current Azerite Armor and the Neck which feel lackluster.
Legion I felt more motivated to grind out WQs etc for the Artifact Power, when I tick up another level with Azerite my reaction is "yay?" plus faction paragon chests in Legion gave some mounts I wanted and now BfA I think they give toys none of which I can remember being remotely interesting.
Overall things feel "duller" for lack of a better description. That theory of an A and B development team may explain this.
" back in the day" players made their own agenda's and adventures. Today and over time the game has devolved down to a "laundry list" of things "to do"(some you almost have to..)and hand holding to retain folks who want 100% direction and not carve there own path and adventure thru the game and world. In vanilla I logged in every day without a care and always found or made things to do but it was under my own direction, not a prefabricated checklist. May not answer the question of why BFA is worse than Legion but this factor has been a contributor to the worsening of the game over time. Also I don't think BFA is worse than Legion. The artifact system/ap was the worse gameplay idea ever implemented into this game. I would even take WoD over Legion.
That's pretty easy.
- they re-used the World Quests system without refreshing it at all;
- they introduced 2 new systems: Warfronts and Island Expeditions which are boring as hell; and the latter serves only for the Azerite grind;
- the story is just terrible... like it's twice as fucked as the last GoT season with retconning the story (even from Legion) on top of that...
- ...they build the entire narrative around War and Heart of Azeroth and both aren't exciting at all; there are too many storylines that do not interweave with each oher and too many characters are envolved;
- class balance is out of place;
- the communication between devs and players is dead;
- they decided to split the zones among the factions - Zandalar for the Horde & Kul Tiras for the Alliance, yet it didn't work out well, not even War Campaign and WQs could have changed it;
- Sylvanas purpose is unknown and her motives unclear - it dimishes her role in the entire xpac, simply because you have nothing to relate; they tried backstage plotting with her and for now it doesn't work at all - and I can't see any conclusion for her story that would be satisifying;
- there actually is a content drought already;
- itemization is probably the worst since the game's launch and they do not care to actually change anything about it, even though the playerbase is nearly unanimous about titanforging.
This expansion is a pure shit, apart from aesthetic value and music being on point. Unfortunately, I believe the next expansion is well ahead the concept stage, so there's little chance that anything crucial to gameplay may change at this point. The story is going to be a continuation to the current one, and that one is horrendously bad. There's a really great possibillity we will get a copy of BfA's gameplay with some little tweaks at best. I don't say, they do not care. They seem rather unaware of where is the line between making the business and caring about own product and brand. They took a wrong path long ago, and it looks like there's no turning back, to be brutally honest. Maybe Classic will raise their awareness, but it's the great unknown anyway.
They are both equally boring.
