After Naxx is cleared what should come next?

Hard question, vanilla tbc combo is close to perfection. Maybe a classic style expansion after TBC? But Kil'jaeden was so epic, really perfect for game end boss. So 50-50

All in all, i hope they continue with this style, maybe make new retail expansion like that.

You forgot to add the 3rd and most realistic option: Nothing or they'll just launch new realms that start at phase 1

Pretty sure J. Allen Brack already said, that if Classic was to become a succes, they'd release TBC (and possibly WOTLK after TBC) after all Classic phases has been played through

They will probably let Classic stay Classic and open a new Tbc server for those that wants to move on.

There are 2 problems with this suggestion though:

1. Classic is meant to recreate the original vanilla experience as close as possible and not to add or change stuff on top of that. If Classic becomes a huge success then Blizzard will more likely adapt the good things from Classic into the most recent WoW expansion.

2. TBC is literally the expansion where they added MOST (if not literally all features except for Azshara Crater and Emerald Dream) of the things that they've planned for vanilla: Outland (was in the game files until 1.12), Hyal, Karazhan, Quel'Thalas, Blood Elfs (although as an Alliance race), Draenei (most likely not as a playable race), Caverns of Times (both dungeons were already fully implemented)

After Classic hits a content drought after Naxx they should just add stuff that got removed like the original epic mounts and/or stuff that never made it into the game like various mounts and items like Bleakwood Hew and what not.

If you add new content it won't be vanilla anymore. If the classic servers do well, the next logical step is BC servers. Give people on classic servers a one way free transfer to a BC server if they want to progress into it.

yeah, I agree with this. You guys wanted original WoW you should only get what was in original WoW nothing more, nothing less.

Segmenting the playerbase even further between Current, Classic and Classic + doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

No.

And we already have that, it's called BfA. They should then just return the difficult lvling, class design, talent trees and whatnot RPG elements back to the game if that's what the playerbase really wants.

What would even be the point of this "vanilla+"? Just so that they later on end up with BfA anyways?
