    Forced asmr is creepy.

Unintentional asmr is the best. Some medical videos are perfect.

Mouth noises ASMR videos\sound clips make me want to punch little baby pups in the snout.

That's only a slight exaggeration. They really do annoy me.

Well that's odd. Considering youtube and twitch are the major outlets for ASMR.

It irritates me and seems very creepy, especially the whispering/mouth noise ones.

Like the OP said, it feels like someone is trying to whisper something to their friend
but they suck at it and I can overhear them. Makes me focus and stay on edge.

I use direct links to twitch games I like to watch, and I normally only watch channels I follow. Youtube also never offered me random videos about ASMR.

If you are not ASMR sensitive then no wonder it doesn't do anything for you or feels creepy. For the record, you are not sensitive if it just relaxes you or whatever.

It can be a powerful feeling when you hear someone who has the "right" voice. Last week i was in a pretty major procurement negotiation and one of the suppliers had a voice that triggered my sense hard, i had to excuse myself in the middle his Powerpoint presentation to pretend to go to the bathroom just to get a breather.

For me it's like some voices vibrate or resonate at the same frequency my body is on or something.

*edit* Ok some of the "love" ones are creepy.

I've been aware that certain random sounds have had this relaxing and tingly effect on me since early childhood, nothing more relaxing than listening to the teacher read a big illustrated book in grade 2 where the book makes that wonderful crackling sound when the teacher opens it up wide all the way to show the pictures to the class. Until a couple years ago I'd never heard the term "ASMR" and had no idea this was a widespread thing or that there was an entire community of video makers devoted to this.

But nah it's clearly just a bullshit trendy fetish like some of the people in here who don't "get it" or experience it feel
    give up dat booty

From the few ASMR videos i've watched , i'll say that if i had a tendency to use them for sleeping or anything i'd use the ones where they interact with objects , i don't like the talking ones at all they creep me out and i particularly dislike the lip smaking ones

This is just funny tho' especialy the dude hitting the mic

I mean, they're basically fetish videos. So I can kinda understand if some creep people out. Not everyone is into stuff.

  16. #36
I haven't tried but considering there was this candy commercial on TV where they whisper loudly for whatever reason it was super annoying to me so that probably answers that.

  17. #37
I think the ones with people whispering random nonsense are stupid but THE MASSAGE ONES make me fall asleep in less that 1 minute.
    Enjoy!!!

Skip to 1:20 for pure slippery joy.

Theress different types of ASMRs as far as i know such as the sound of a river or runnign water or even nature. I mean anything can be creepy. There can be ASMRs you find okay and ASMR your find creepy. Thats what makes this question so weird.
