Hmm, not explicitly, however the cause appears to be "disrespect of the anthem" which is a wedge issue the MAGA chuds are obsessed with.

MISSOULA, Mont. — The attorney for a Montana man accused of throwing a 13-year-old boy to the ground at a rodeo because the teenager didn’t remove his hat during the national anthem says his client believes he was acting on an order from President Trump.

Attorney Lance Jasper told the Missoulian newspaper that the president’s “rhetoric” contributed to 39-year-old Curt Brockway’s disposition when he grabbed the boy by the throat and slammed him to the ground, fracturing his skull at the Mineral County Fairgrounds on Saturday.

Jasper said Brockway is an Army veteran who believes he was acting on an order by his commander in chief.

This is why I always feel uncomfortable giving people with assault charges a job.

Never know when they are going to snap with anger issues. Hope he gets serious jail time for his 2nd assault and this time a minor.

Glad the kid is recovering so quickly. @Zaydin typically insanity pleas are only for extreme cases such as murder. I'm sure there are some measures they could employ, but imo, this guy needs to be locked up for a LONG fucking time. Assaulting a child for *nothing* is ridiculous.

And for everyone else, let's keep our eye on the ball. While there is zero indication that MAGA had anything to do with this incident, MAGA/Trump is definitely linked to hatred/violence/stupidity/insanity, so it's not too long of a jump to see a correlation. Especially with Cheeto chiming in on all things National Anthem related.

When Trump yelled and screamed about Democrats, some crazy sent mail bombs to a bunch of democrats. As Trump rants and raves about the invasion from Mexico, people go on shooting sprees in the name of protecting the country from the Mexican invaders. As Trump cries and whines about people kneeling during the anthem, people commit violence for just that cause.
