That is not how their team works internally, team "B" is generally their minor/major patch team.

Yeah, in terms of quality of life and casual gaming, WoD was a very good expansion. It had its flaws, sure, but so did Mop and wrath aswell. I hated legion almost as much as I hate bfa.

A and B doesnt exists dude... WoD had problems in the development because they went all for Project Titan, then they scrapped it to Overwatch and WoD had a lot of "content issues" because the ammount of people working in that Expansion was probably 75% from the previews ones.
Literally, Mythic was introduced to have another difficulty to redo content, because there wasnt anymore. Thats why Shattra raid didnt happened, Gorehowl Lego didnt happened, the continent of the Laughing skull scrapped, the ogre continent in the southwest also scrapped.

And by your "cycle" TBC was bad.. really. the best expansion, bad.

I believe most people just use this as a pattern and don't care weither it's actually 2 teams or not.

I still call them "Team Awesome" and "Team Suckass"... even if they're both 1 team. The pattern still works regardless.

There is no pattern, it is all subjective. For me MoP is still the worst expansion to date.

Except it doesn't even work for two important reasons:

a) BC is missing from the OP list and it is considered GOOD
b) The whole black and white is missing a lot of context

Try rating them out of 5 stars, and even if you don't agree with my ratings, you'll see it doesn't work in general:

BC - 5
Wrath - 4.5
Cata - 3
MoP - 3.5
WoD - 1
Legion 3
BfA - 1

It is more likely that, unless Blizz decides to get serious about WoW again and actually invest in it, that the next expansion will be a 2 or so (which, like Legion, will feel more like a 4 to those who can't remember more than a week ago because BfA and WoD were dumpster fires).
