Back when I ate them, the classic was fine with me. I did find something I liked doing through. I would basket weave the bacon and cook it in the oven, then I would take meat shears and cut them into sandwich size squares.

I always cook my bacon in the microwave. it comes out pretty good.

yeah nothing wrong with microwave bacon, I just found for me it cooks more evenly in the oven and I can do more at a time.

As far as microwaving I like putting it between paper towels and stacking in-between stone plates, it keeps it flat and helps it cook more evenly. Bit messier to clean up though...

I put my bacon where it turns out the absolute best.

    The trash

Not my kinda sandwich on that note.
    Incoming hate wave.

Although perhaps trying it with turkey bacon would yield different results.

I either add chicken and mayo to make a club sandwich or leave off the L and T to make a bacon butty with brown sauce and ketchup.

Those results would be a seat in a fiery ring. How dare!

Mod fight! Mod fight! Mod fight!
PS: I dont get the love for bacon. I prefer ham and cheese when it comes to sandwiches.^^

Haven't had one in years. Bacon needs to be burnt to a crisp, and the bread needs to be poor family, falls-apart-when-you-look-at-it-funny white bread to get the full effect though.

    Needs to be toasted.
    Needs cheese.
    Extra mayo.

BLTs are ok I just find them boring. It's like having a burger without the burger in it.

It just feels like an incomplete sandwich, like it's missing the main ingredient.

The most important part of a BLT is the Tomato.

I used to love it when I was younger. Nowadays it's best as a compliment to something else. I can't imagine eating a ton anymore.

And the beefsteak tomato needs to be big enough to cover the bread with one slice.

(My grandfather would replace the bacon with a thick slice of purple onion - again, big enough to cover the bread.)

For me, the BLT, has to be BLTC. I cannot accept a sandwich without cheese - and not american cheese.
