If the last thing a recruiter remarked about you was your unpleasant smell, then the answer is likely "NO". Unless you'll be working somewhere where noone gives a shit, like a factory floor or in the oil fields. But even there, if the impression you left the recruiter with was "this guy smells bad", you probably won't get hired anyway.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.
Just, be kind.
Not a chance unless they are completely desperate. You not only made a negative impression on the recruiter, but strong enough that they felt like voicing the reason to you, instead of silently casting you aside after you've already left.
if the smell is that bad that the recruiter tells you, and not just politely ignores it, i think your chances are very slim.
This.
Also, I'd probably be trying to find the cause of the bad breath and do something about it. If it's bad enough to cost you a job, it's something that's worth fixing. I'm sure there's a lot of stuff that can cause bad breath, but bad oral hygiene habits are probably the easiest to correct. In general, if you just floss/brush/rinse a couple times a day, you're good on that unless you have other problems going on.
