"The team feels that they have a really good story and want to see it through, but knew there would be people on the Horde side that were divided about the direction Sylvanas was going. This is why they ultimately decided to let players pick a side."

This arrogant team can suck my balls if they think their story is good!
Besides, you can see the Alliance don't even exist in their minds!

It's like the game is not even fully created yet and things can change? Who knew!

never said that it was 6 items specifically. He said like maybe 6 items. meaning nothing was set in stone

They still don't understand player housing. It isn't supposed to be an expansion specific feature like garrisons. It is supposed to transcend expansions. Just say "we might have it in the future." Don't say bullshit like "shadowlands just didn't feel like the appropriate expansion to do it".

Huh? Answers like this make it sound like there is some game overlord that if they do certain things he will rain fire and brimstone on the Blizzard HQ.
Once you add something to the game, people take a LOT of offence to that thing being removed, and you need to handle that situation. It's easier to just deal with the bitching on the forums about needing to grind for sockets, vs having to deal with the fallout of people going "I grinded for x hundred hours of pearls to get sockets, give me my pearls back!"

Man, sockets on benthic gear was a mistake? that sucks, I feel bad for them, they got all this hate for it. They should design this thing like a public test realm where you test patches before they go live and can actually see this stuff to fix it.

They absolutely do understand player housing, because they want it too. But if they're adding features, those features need to be thematic to the expansion. How does travelling to a new dimension, learning and discovering new things, fit thematically with building your own housing in Azeroth? It doesn't.

ESO lets you have a house anywhere. Don't see why we couldn't have a house in the shadowlands.

I wish someone had asked if Taelia will meet her father in the new expac, or at least learn about him.

It's likely because something beneath the hood that just isn't working. ESO and other mmos itself was made with housing in mind. But WoW wasn't. Much like how they have wanted to make more bagspace in the original bags that at least they admitted years ago that changing it too much broke the game.

I Just wish Blizzard would say "Look we know you want it, we want it. But to make it worth while and more than just garrison level of editing it's going to take years to make sure it doesn't break something in game."

They really need a new PR guy,
Every ion interview is him just shitting on what the players actually want.. good way to make a game

"Everyone will be funneled into the same area at the beginning of the expansion, but the team is confident they can handle the server stress this time around."

Not hatin', but... famous last words, springs to mind.

    Can you just shut up!?

Idiots like you asking for an abomination feature like 'housing' is the entire reason WoD sucked donkey balls. The problem is YOU! AND YOU ONLY!

Please never ask about player housing again! It is an anti social activity. Anti mmo. Anti fun. Anti intelligent!

In essense: You have no idea what you are asking for. Idiots like you are the reason we got dungeon finder, flying mounts and easy mode skills for every class. Aoe tanking for every class. Aoe healing for every class. Aoe dmg dealing for every class. And no micro management left. Game sucks cause of idiot ideas made by people not understanding game design.

Where do we think Broxigar is going to show up? I mean, he's gotta help us rescue his brother from The Maw, yes?

The faction divide was part of Warcraft, however the story has made it....difficult to really feel the factions hate each other anymore, other than forced reasons written in so the divide can't be removed. If they still think we need to have two sides, then make a couple new factions and remove race restrictions from them so we can be any race joining one of the new factions.

Housing can equal more items to craft for professions, more reasons to farm content, and something to customize that is yours. Lol... I cant believe you dont want every DPS to at least have an AoE option because then they would he completely worthless in dungeons or bosses with ads and I have no idea what that has anything to do with wanting housing.

Indeed, only certain tanks should be able to hold more than one mob at once.

Those stupid, stupid people that don't understand game design. Crazy.

If your idea of what player housing is happens to be WoD and Garrisons, then you really don’t have any business commenting on housing. It has taken a lot of forms over the years and most of them are more social and mechanical than anything currently in this game.

Also, moving the topic a little it is always strange to me to watch world of Warcraft fans decry the streamlining aspect of the game. You realize this is the entire design intent yes? It’s major selling points at launch were easy solo leveling and instanced gameplay, in terms of functionality it was actually going backwards from most active MMOs.

Leveling was a big deal back then especially, nowadays people look at classic WoW and OCCASINALLY DYING as something cruel. It used to take a full group and traveling into a risky area for hours on end to get levels in an MMO. Death used to come with actual penalties as well.

This world in which people think WoW was ever some hardcore MMO just blows my mind. It was literally, specifically and entirely designed to be a streamlined, casual alternative. Stop getting mad at a casual game for being casual.
