Neither, they both look stupid. If I absolutely had to choose between the two, then the knockoff... I would never pay $700 for a pair of shoes because I'm not mentally retarded.

Knock offs. As long as the price is reasonable ( $670 is not ), comfortable and fits my needs, I could not care less who makes them.

No neither both are silly just like buying a Rolex or Rolls Royce after a while you are just paying for a brand.
And yes they are hand stitch yeah, but so are a lot of shoes, if I liked them and the price actually facilitated the cost, cool. But near as I can tell they don't HOWEVER my girlfriend loves expensive hand bags. I love her but I'll never understand the fascination.

I rather get the real deal. Buying and wearing fakes just fucks with me; even most people wouldnt be able to tell the difference, it wouldn't sit well with me knowing I'm wearing something that's inauthentic. Then again I've only spent 500+ on shoes like three times and I barely wear them because I feel like I'll scuff them or something.

Nah I'd pass on both. Sneakers aren't my thing.
But to answer the main question: Would you ever buy a cheaper knock off of a brand item?

But, for argument's sake, lets pretend I'm a man and like their looks. I would still buy neither. The Gucci ones are ridiculously overpriced, so I wouldn't buy them, but I also don't buy fake. Fake just screams 'I'm too poor to buy the real thing'. I'd buy something else entirely.
