How do we abbreviate Shadowlands!?

Alright, so every previous expansion (i guess, minus Legion) we've abbreviated the expansion to casually say in conversation.
ie: Burning Crusade: BC, Wrath of the Lich King: Wrath, Cataclysm: Cata, Mists of Pandaria, mop etc....

How should we go about abbreviating Shadowlands?

Funily enough, you cut your examples short right before Legion, precisely the only expansion that isn't abreviated. So Shadowlands will probably stay "unabreviated" aswell

I'd say swl or sl. While swl doesn't make that much sense it would be essier to differentiate from other acronyms

The only reason people need DaS/DeS is because “DS” isn’t viable.

Looking at the poll and seeing shlands made me laugh hard.

In Germany, many soccer fans are screaming "schlaaaand" because it's kind of an abbreviation of deutschland.

I really do not want shlands to be a thing...

That being said, I'll be writing it SL, while speaking out shadowlands.

You will call it Schland and you will like it.

Then again, i mostly picked that to annoy others, so...

Wrath of the lich king was always "Wotlk", never heard anyone say Wrath tbh. 1 word expansions dont need abbreviations.

But you're not saying it, I do not recall many reading WoD as "wad" but contextually as Warlords of Draenor. GCN was always "Gamecube" when I read it, and SL will be no different.

You're actively not cutting into brain time when it's subconsciously doing this.
