What was the big scandal that happened at your school?

Aside from them being sued multiple times over their mishandling of kids in special education? I don't know, I didn't keep track of other peoples' shit since I was in the category of "people who sued the school district over their mishandling the kids in special education" category.

I think one of my teachers in middle school was fired for making sexual advances on a female student. Someone was fired, but the reason was all based on gossip going around. The school didn't exactly announce the details to us.

Later in high school we have 3 different students die in separate instances. So that was kind of a bummer.

At my High School there was a senior or 4th year student who was a senior when I started at that High School, newly brought to America and barely a year here. He was a senior when I graduated High School too. Dude didn't finish until a year after I graduated. And later he was engaged to/dating a fourteen year old high school freshmen from the same school whose parents were totally fine with it.

I've also heard a story about a kid at the same high school who was straight up caught masturbating to porn involving a woman and an animal, the specific animal varies from telling of the story either goat or horse or a donkey, and this was caught IN CLASS in a computer lab. It must have happened before I was there or I was a freshmen and wasn't paying much attention. I heard the story when I was a Junior.

I remember the scandal I was involved in. Me and three friends were extremely drunk off Avalanche, a mint-flavored hard liquor. 7th grade. We show up at the school at night and proceed to burn a hole through the plexiglass of one of the food machines. It took all night but we finally melted a fist-sized hole and reached in and cleaned everything out. I don't even remember how I got home, but I remember waking up to a plastic shopping bag stuffed with cookies and candy next to my bed.

The school offered a $100 reward for information, but nobody ever talked.

There were a few things.

- In 9th grade, someone stole money out of all the girls' purses from their locker room during gym. A boy got arrested for it, but he was back the next school year and always maintained that he didn't do it. They did find a wad of cash in his bookbag after it happened and he was a well known trouble maker.
- Also in 9th grade, there was a fight club going on in a bathroom that had been out of order longer than anyone had been at the school. It was every Friday at the end of the school day and went on for several months before it was found out and a bunch of people were suspended. A few people made like a couple hundred dollars off bets.
- In 10th grade, a guy who I'd known since 3rd grade (but never really talked to) shot and killed his father and his father's girlfriend. He went to jail.
- In 11th grade, we had tons of big bushes all around the school and it was a tradition that freshman get bushed by seniors every year (thrown into a bush). I don't know how long it had been going on but a girl actually got hurt that year and they got rid of most of the bushes.
- In 12th grade, there was a girl who I think was in 11th grade that got caught having sex with a 24 year old assistant coach.

There were also several students who died in car crashes, but none were in my grade and I didn't know them.

There was once this collaboration with a TV show, where the hosts were interviewing and doing TV show things with the kids. Later it was discovered that one of the hosts had child porn on his computer.

And another one started a relationship... officially just "after the graduation". YEAAH right.

Not really from the school proper, but in our ROTC program we had a kid that needed to pass his fitness test to get a scholarship to college, and he was really struggling with meeting the 2 mile run time. So he took about 6 spoonfuls of Jack 3-D (This was before they banned it), and ran the course. He passed. Then went into Cardiac arrest and died on the ambulance.

Both the military and the school did a lot of investigations into why they let him run when he was clearly juiced out of his mind. Couple of the Army cadre got criminal negligence charges against them, didn't hear how it ended, because I graduated and left.

Some kid who ran with a bad crowd wanted out and got stabbed to death in front of his home. Other than that it was also the one with the most pregnancies out of the district, 13 I believe. One time there was a big arrest of students that hid in a bathroom to smoke. I walked in during lunch time and saw like 4 people cuffed and facing the wall.

He got a lot more shit for it than I did, though. I actually had people apologize for previously calling me queer, faggot, etc. Except for one instance of me getting punched in the face, the other guy had it way worse.
