Cameron mastered capture motion for underwater scenes - apparently inventing a couple of new things. It certainly looks weird, but if Avatar was any indication of what's to come, it should be awesome.

What I want to know is whether Wayne Barlowe will again participate in the design of alien animals.
This guy gives a special touch to each fictional living thing he draws. Best artist in his category.

Cameron leaned heavily on him for Avatar's "world" right? Barlowe is amazing.

Yes.

Its not the 80s anymore where a lead actor can make or break a film like arnold schwarzenegger action movies.

Film stars are largely dead and we live in the age of franchises. A few still exist like Tom cruise/the rock but their films vary a lot so largely what makes the most money comes down to timing or it being an event like the joker hitting at the right time or black panthar making lots of money because apparently it was a cultural event.
