    Eye of Corruption Proc rate

Anyone noticing a higher than usual proc on Eye of Corruption.

Just did a few mythics for the weekly and a 5 mask and it seems higher.
Corruption level on gear is the same as last week. No changes so far.

It even proced while phased into the chest room after completing the vision.

    Or just bad luck?

Bull, I've often enough had it going past 8 stacks... and I'm below 40 corruption. It's most definitely a ~9 second CD for a chance of another cropping up again after to continue stacking to 16, and furthermore.

Yes, that's how procs per minute works. That's why it's always assumed as "Approximately" in WoW.

You can argue about it all you want but it's all there is to the data ID. 1 approx proc per minute, no cooldown.

Proc rate is the same as always. Bad luck is bad luck.

Thing is we notice bad luck more than normal luck. I could say the eye procs a fuck lot more when fighting in small spaces. But really that's just me remembering how I couldn't get away from it.

N PPM in WoW does not mean that in every one minute you will get N procs. It means that over a statistically significant number of minutes you will average out to N per minute with some standard deviation. In one given minute you could have zero procs or you could have many procs.

It proc of the damage you take. My bad, eye of corruption, procs of spells you do of course. I was thinking the add. Sorry, corruption is a blur to me.

    Eye: Procs of your spell/abilities.
Add: Procs of damage you take. So the more damage you take, the bigger chance. Like on Xanesh where it is constant aoe damage big portion of the fight it procs more. Usually.
Slow: Procs of damage you take.

Haste got nothing to do with it. If not my main(havoc) would have much more procs than my Arcane Mage, to me it's normally opposite(it procs like crazy on mage for some reason, might be the difference in mitigation that I dont notice on DH?). We are talking average 100% + haste vs 15% here. It's just so random how much it procs though. To me it feels like a week to week thing. But the funny thing is, the less corruption I have down to 20 total, the more the ring seems to proc :P

Bottom line, it works like corruption in general. RNG!

The proc rate does not go up with haste, debuffs are not affected by haste. I hit upwards of 170% haste during peak and it's no different, at all.
