Well done (clue's in the name), stripped from fat and other shit that ain't the muscle meat itself. I prefer it as an ingredient in stews, or alongside gravy.

My favourite animal protein however, would be chicken. Rotissery-style whole chicken allowed to cook for a looong time so that the seasonings really gets through the meat. Been trying my hardest to find smoked chicken breast but haven't been lucky.

Its not boredom, its based in fear of changing their diet. Food is attached to virtually everything important in a person's life so fundamentally changing a diet is terrifying because it feels like you're changing everything important.

To circumvent that fear, the health, environmental and ethical concerns are all parsed and pushed to a way further burden of proof then they require from their current food choices.
You’re disrupting some people’s apple carts who decided to make a food trend personally.

As such people take it personally. I’m going to say it’s boredom though.

People starving to death because they have no food likely aren’t too concerned with a chemical process. Truth be told neither are those that take it so personally they preach.

It's not hypocrisy but it is true I didn't word it properly. Everyone but the OP and Sorensen who were nitpicking know that processed meat means chemically processed and no one in this thread said processed meat is good for you. So take that you sanctimonious tryhard.

So once again, bit sanctimonious over something everyone knew, that processed meat means chemically processed (except Doctor Amadaeus and Sorenson who were nitpicking), and no one said, that processed meat is good for you.

Reading ain't your thing. You are objectively terrible at it.

I never implied nor stated anyone said processed meat was good for you, quite the opposite. I was explaining how pretty much any store bought meat is processed and not pure and natural like people were in fact pretending. So again, jumping my shit for stuff you aren't paying attention to, does, in fact, make you a hypocrite.

No I’m not nitpicking I’m asking for clarification and you’ve still failed to go into detail as to why the chemical process you meant is harmful over any other said process.

And as I’ve already asked @Calfredd what exactly is the harm or alternative?

Is the end game able what’s bad for you and what will kill you?

    I’d like specifics.

I'm a huge fan of fish. A nice whole grilled or baked branzino, for example. And I always enjoy trout.

What? So people should not cook anything? We would have been fucked as a species a long time ago if we didn't cook our food.

We lack the straight up fortitude to deal with all the indigestible and harmful stuff in/on a lot of raw food so we use our brains and cook "process" or food. It's our ability to use our brains to make nature for us that got us to where we are.

Advocating for some false "earlier humans we fine eating raw food" pseudoscience is wrong and insane. It wasn't fine. They died of many preventable food borne diseases and malnutrition - its why we evolved towards cooking our food.

There is nothing wrong preserving meat as long as the preservatives are safe. Salt(s) being the main form of preservation. You would literally die without salt, adding it to food isn't damning as lot as its within safe levels.

Meat is not inherently dangerous to people. The over consumption of lack their of is dangerous. We eat meat because...it provides nutrients that we need and aren't (weren't) always readily available in local vegetation. Of course today we can just process, fortify, and import plants, not the case for 99% of humanity's existence.

    Meat is fine.

Over 80% of all antibiotics sold in US are given to livestock. Every animal you eat from chicken to pigs to cows to goats, etc. have been genetically altered to produce higher and more consistent yields. All the store bought meat you eat have various food colorings and preservative chemicals in them. Hell, even the vaunted B12 is often given too livestock as supplement.

Eat whatever, but stop lying to your selves that your steak, bacon or chicken breast aren't chemically processed.
Juicier meat - give it too me.

Selective breeding for better muscle gain - I'm fine with it

Reduced occurrence of disease or parasites - shoot that cow up

More B12? - Hell yeah, brother. Less supplements for me.

Dyes - By dies do you mean carbon monoxide, hardly toxic chemical that just slows meat oxidation? Come on.

Preservatives equal salts and nitrates. Perfectly fine if you know a little about chemistry and not intimidated by big words. Did you know Dihydrogen monoxide was found in all of our water supplies? Someone should do something about it.

Cool. A whole typing that was stupid and missed the point. Gratz though.

I don't eat a lot of beef, maybe once every two weeks to a month is my preference. I do however love fish, Salmon and trout personally. I also really enjoy a well prepared turkey.

Most of what I eat though is as lean proteins as possible. After I passed 35 the system can't handle fats as much as it used to.

Though a good med-rare strip or rib-eye can be quite enjoyable, just not all the time.

Always a fan of fish and crustacean. I'm in love with tuna served raw or seared. Salmon is something I buy here and there to grill or bake at home with various seasonings and sauces. My lemon-honey salmon always comes out great. Shrimp and lobster? Yes, please.

Does fish count, or are we just talking about terrestrial meats?

Honestly you can chuck anything on a grill and I'll be very happy. I like eggs & chicken. I like fish. I do good steak. I think the only meats I don't particularly like are the pig-based ones, but even then I can go for a ham sandwich.

Probably my absolute favorite meat is lamb.
