A lot of things, but almost none that I would consider "fun stuff."

Back when the WoW blood plague happened, I laughed off people studying it like a real pandemic. I thought "What? It's a video game. No one in real life would run around spreading the disease on purpose! People aren't that stupid."

I was reading up on the spread of Covid in China in December and early January. I never thought we'd still be in lockdown a whole 12 months later.

Otherwise, not much to comment upon world events. Just entertainment stuff.

CoVid has to be at the very top of everyone's list. I agree @Val the Moofia Boss when I first heard of the virus in China, I scoffed and thought this was the Swine Flu, or Ebola all over again (not that those weren't terrible, but they did not turn the planet upside down like Corona has.)

It's now an year later and we're still not past one of the most catastrophic natural events in recent human history. It's certainly not something I thought I'd experience in my uneventful life. You hear of pandemics and world wars in the last century, and you don't think something of the like will happen in your lifetime, and then it does and forever changes the way you look at things.

A bunch of things:

- Getting a job by the end of the year.

- Ironically I've spent more time socialising with people IRL in 2020 than I have done in the last few years.

- Getting back into WoW and enjoying it as much I am currently doing.

- To have kept up my weekly routine of going to the gym pretty consistently since last year. Been however a bit sloppy lately by not being there last week, but I am going there tomorrow regardless.

- Not getting the chance to visit my dad or spend time with my nephews when they had their 2nd birthday. Was looking forward to that.

- Enjoying programming. I took a monthly course at university to learn how to program and I was surprised by how much fun I had doing it. Currently studying a bit with a friend of mine with plans on trying to build something after having done some more practice assignments.

1) promotion with a raise much larger than expected

2) doctoral degree finished

3) and most shocking got a g/f.


2020 has been my best year in a decade to be honest.
