It's impossible for casuals not to complain about this issue;
1) not enough welfare = "elitist game"
2) welfare introduced = "wah there is no content for me to do" quit 1-2 week after patch drop each time.
Content drought is a combination of catchup mechanics and no new content.
That is not what the other person was asking for .They are simply asking for an alternative path for progression and one where the entry level is not decided by the player community.
The want a progression at their own pace. Sure it will be slower. Sure it will behind players such as yourself. Why is that an issue?
It isn't an issue to have a system like that. And it is what exists already and has for years. They can progress their character and will be behind other players in the game. What it comes down to in most of these cases is that these types of people want the best rewards with out having to do the content. So they are the ones that are not content with the progression path, and wall, of the chosen way to play the game.
They don't need the higher level gear from Raids and Mythic+ if they are not willing to step foot in that content. They can already over gear for the remaining content.

You know a community is bad when moderators lock a thread because "...this isnt the place to talk about it either seeing as it will get trolled..."

it's geared towards casuals (though i wouldn't use the word casual to describe them) because it's easier to milk consumers with no standards of quality for a product. its the same reason the mobile game market is making crap tons of money. tons of idiots with no standards willing to pay for basically anything...

"Do you want a game with no casuals so about 500 players?"

Or you're having to compete against people who look a lot better than you. There isn't much my lower ilvl mage is going to be able to do when dozens of other higher ilvl/score mages are taking the same slots, even as something as simple as a +2.
I am entitled to speak with my wallet though, which I am doing, and I am entitled to speak my feelings on the matter until Blizz fixes the issues with the game. And yes, it is an issue when so many people are being left out and just want a path to progression.
Yeah, the victim blaming culture of this community is worrisome.
I have an item level of 201 on my main. No where near the best gear and I have no entitlement to the past gear because I choose not to do higher levels of content. The amusing part is how much you failed at an insult and a counter argument.

So get better. Having gear won't change how you look to other people. Dozens of others are taking those slots anyways because there are hundreds of DPS applicants to groups. People are not being left out of progression. You have progression up to Mythic +4. You just can't go further and there is nothing wrong with different levels of content having different rewards structures.
You don't want a path to progression. You demand to have the best rewards with out having to do the progression that rewards it. This isn't a victim blaming culture. You literally keep playing the victim card then get upset when you are called out on it.

Never claimed to want the best gear, that's just a myth you guys are trying to spread about me. Look as far and wide as you're able, you'll never find a post of me asking for 226 gear from WQs. I just want to be able to progress to decent gear on my own, enough to make it so that I'm not utterly crushed if I queue for a BG. I just want to be able to play the game when other people cannot be relied upon.
