Torinco, my nod to the original Phantasy Star series (got to have at least one in every game). I was going to name him Rappy, but I read that's become the mascot for the PSO series. Torinco was an island in PSIV overrun with rappy birds, so it seemed the next closest thing. Can other players see the name? Probably would've stuck with Rappy if only I can see it.

In FFXI my first job to 60 was DRG, and my Wyvern was named Muffin (FFXI had a list of names you could choose from for it). I felt it fitting as I mained DRG when ARR came out to name my combat companion Muffin.
