ISS is sitting on a firing range, not in crowded school.

Firing range where everyone is free to come and shoot their own targets.

Funny, since 2009 the only person to shoot at them was Russia.

Space is not a firing range. You are not allowed to fire weapons of war at people or items, just because they are in space. What you said is a lie. You are lying.

    Out of 4 ever.

Given how much junk other launches add... you're worrying too much over this single shot that didn't hit anything important.

You are allowed by active space treaty to do those tests. Stop lying. Rules of this fire range are easy to find.

...and at this point you might even get Russia to agree to ban so that noone else joins the club, as it happened with nukes.

You have said ISS deserved to be shot at.

Your further opinions are therefore irrelevant.

The only fairness I'll give to Shackler's statement is less 'They deserved to be shot at' and more 'It's their fault for being in the way of Russia's random and unannounced missile tests'.

Still confoundingly stupid, but a different kind of stupid.

I mean, I'm not convinced there's a gap between those two options big enough to slide a rotten turnip through. Saying

ISS was never shot at. It wasn't ever even in close vicinity.

As seen by ISS potential collision alerts stopping once they got those orbits down.

Because Russian calculations that ISS wasn't in danger were right.

All you could argue is "not enough courtesy to warn about it ahead of the time". Which is true.

Once you have decided scientists doing research in a global initiative are targets for military weapon testing, you'll understand if I discount your moral and ethical baselines.

I mean, with other countries apparently deciding to chuck missiles into space at random, risking international property in the process, I feel the move is more-or-less justified in hindsight. Dunno what this point was trying to prove but lmao.

I would suggest avoiding going into this discussion. But for now he is on a vacation, as you can see.

Gotta love how the Russians in this thread just keep justifying and making excuses for this whole incident. And whenever they're like "WELL THE US DOES SIMILAR THINGS" the western posters are like "Yeah, and it's irresponsible and fucked up to do that. Now tell us about Russia's actions."

Imagine being able to identify when something is just straight up wrong, no matter who does it.

Now imagine defending your country's actions to the death because admitting your own country did something wrong will probably get you a bad case of radioactive food poisoning.

Or do you guys just continue to justify Russia's irresponsible actions because you want to? I could understand it if you're in some job position where your very job description is to make Russia look good on online forums. But if you're just doing it for funsies that's kinda sad. Edit: Ok it's not "sad", it's hypocritical and bespeaks of some deeply ingrained patriotic bias.

This whole missile test thing was irresponsible and reckless. Is it really so hard to just admit that?

2014 Gamergate: "If you want games without hyper sexualized female characters and representation, then learn to code!"
2023: "What's with all these massively successful games with ugly (realistic) women? How could this have happened?!"

For the record, I am fully aware that the US, on multiple occasions, have blown shit up in space. We've tackled the idea of space debris as a problem, fair enough. The issue in this case remains "unwarned civilians had to make Dex saving throws". Which, to the best of my knowledge, the US never risked and if we did it was reckless then, too.
