Well, that is ancient history, where commanders and leaders were often leading in the field. Was talking about 20th century wars.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

    Nice form of royal propaganda.
Joining the military is not that unusual for a member of the royal family. She was a member only briefly since the war ended shortly after she finished her training. She was a minor for most of the war so her contributions would’ve been minimal besides morale purposes.

That's not a conspiracy theory, go and report me quick. She never fought in WW2. That's a fact. She may have been a mechanic but she never fought, that's typical British royal propaganda. Every royal known has SERVED but in the last 2 centuries they were perfectly shielded from actual fighting. It's an insult to actual veterans claiming she fought.

Populists (and "national socialists") look at the supposedly secret deals that run the world "behind the scenes". Child's play. Except that childishness is sinister in adults.

The reigining monarch of England last participated in combat in 1743, in the Battle of Dettingen. The English won the battle but lost the war. Other royals were given military commands and participated in battles throughout in the 18th century but I doubt they ever did after the increasing professionalisation forced by Napoleon's wars.

Guys, I'm not a royalist but can we have this as a sympathetic thread please, a person died like an hour ago, no need to argue here.

Ofcourse she was posing for the pictures. Just compare the amount of pictures of Liz the Mechanic compared to other female mechanics. That's what they call propaganda.
And you're the one claiming she actually fought in WW2 while she was repairing cabs in front of press.

Yeah, I've been in Afghanistan. While I really appreciate the work Harry has done for veterans, if they would use half the amount of personnel protecting him there, they would have found Bin Laden faster.

You're right, we should take a moment and sympathize with the people in the UK struggling with poverty that might otherwise have been helped with the massive amounts of money that is going to be spent on Liz' funeral and her son's coronation. :ameno:

cutting ribbons, going to parties, doing lil speeches and wearing the crown, paying settlements to protect pedophiles, carving out exemptions in legislation for your rotten family by lobbying politicians, taking dodgy money from dictatorships and selling arms.

Its a tough job but im sure he will do it well!

He actually been taking over some of the queen's role in the past few years anyway. So, yeah, he been pretty well trained.

And given his father was nearly 100 and his mother was 96 when they passed, he is likely going to be King for a couple of decades.

I would be more worried if he died suddenly.

Just ignoring the fact they make the country more money than they take out? Good way to get your point across!

I mean...don't most of the estimates on how much revenue the royals bring in via tourism etc. fairly consistently show that the money spent by taxpayers supporting them provides fairly solid returns (2-3x) in the investment?
