And how exactly this thread is going to help with it? D:

Zac Efron got super swole he could do it now.
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.
I gave up expecting Blizzard to do anything right. This movie would be a disaster. Henry would just leave for the same reason he left The Witcher, with him respecting Arthas in the lore but the writers would not even respect the original source material as they couldn’t even do with the first Warcraft movie.
Are we pretending the first movie was good enough to warrent a sequal again?
after seeing him as the Witcher, yes he would make a good Arthas. will that movie ever happen? no, probably not.
Love Cavill but can't see him playing Arthas. He looks too "good" if that makes sense, Arthas looked like a right prick even before he took up Frostmourne. Imagine Cavill saying "Succeeding you, father" in that smug snakelike voice. Ed Skrein or something would probably be my choice.
Would love to see him in another role though, for sure.

You really think the suits argue about the lore? The suits argue about which boxes this movie would tick and does it fit the algorithm. It's the writers that think the source material is bad (as it's with The Witcher) and then write a bunch of their own shit that doesn't fit anything, but they can go around telling "they made it".
LMAO you really think blizzard can afford Superman?
Cavil doesn't have the arrogance or range to do Arthas properly.
Wouldn't Cavil make a better Illidain with make-up and his size?
Arthas is more a shorter, stocky smug guy. The guy who plays Homelander in The Boys might be a good Arthas!
He has recently expressed some interest in Warhammer. He's a big fan of the Warhammer universe: games, miniatures, all of it.

Blizzard doesn't hire the actors (or pay them) for movies. As a matter of fact, most of the important stuff about how a movie is made is firmly in the hands of producers and directors. Blizzard mostly provides a license and perhaps consults.

"...money's most powerful ability is to allow bad people to continue doing bad things at the expense of those who don't have it."
I'd be down for a Warcraft movie if it was done in the same style as a classic, golden age of Hollywood film. If it's more modern cinema garbage then nah.
First of all, I really doubt we can ever get a full-length movie series for that story. It would require TONS of CGI, the budget would need to be absolutely massive.
What is way more possible is animated series, which allow you to literally portray any kind of story.
Also, the script would require some changes from the original story, since it doesn’t fit the series as a whole. Please remember, that Arthas is not only that blue knight on top of the throne. There’s also Burning Legion involved.
And last thing - why is everyone so obsessed with Cavill? He’s at best a mediocre actor. There’s nothing special about him. He was a boring Witcher. He’s pretty much a big, good-looking guy, that’s it.
Fuck no. Cavill doesn't have to be in every video game movie.
Did you like the Warcraft movie? (Those of us who logged in back then got this promotional item, bro.)

Edit: By the way, Henry Cavill is an Alliance player. Surprising, as I kind of thought most celebrities would favor the Horde (perhaps b/c most Blizzard employees are Horde?)

"You see, there is balance in all things. Wisdom etched in our very fur: Black and white. Darkness and light. When the last emperor hid our land from the rest of the world, he also preserved...our ancient enemy, the mantid. So it is with your Alliance and your Horde. They are not strong despite one another; they are strong BECAUSE of one another. You mistake your greatest strength for weakness. Do you see this?"
Warcraft fans obsession with this middling villain is baffling
