Tbf, that went in a mandela effect, because it is a true statement in the tolkien universe, that was said by a tv show i thing, so people assumed it was a direct quote. The direct would be "The Shadow that bred them can only mock, it cannot make: not real new things of its own"
Not surprised they went the lazy route with April. They should also rename it to Prepubescent Mutant Ninja Turtles because they sound far too young.
Omg that April. Ahahahahahahaha... of course it's Seth Rogen production, I'm sure it's gonna be as great as recent Velma was.
Re-imaginations always carry the risk of digging too deep into contemporary zeitgeist. That's when we get the likes of Velma. And apparently this now. I felt Bay's movies were within the realm of okay, because the core nature of the cast was still recognizable, and the design alterations were made for the benefit of cool factor. But this.. it's definitely made for a new audience. For me it's cringe.
At least we got a baller beat 'em up fairly recently.

Now you see it. Now you don't.
But was where Dalaran?
...what?
What's unrecognizable about anything they showed in that trailer?
It's a bit strange to me that people can get hung up on them seeming to be too young in this trailer, but of all the issues with those recentl live-action ones, I don't remember anyone complaining that they all look like grizzled grown-ass men:
Like...so they're kids in this one. You know, teenagers. What's the issue:
Or maybe it's just that people are so used to teens being played by actors pushing 30...

I get Spiderverse vibes from the art/animation style.
Not quite a fan of Baxter sounding like a ghetto thug, but everything else looks like a lot of fun!

Your name will carry on through generations, and will never be forgotten.
Looks great. Teenaged characters looking and sounding like pro wrestlers has never ever made sense so I am glad they went back to first principles while still giving their own take on the material. Love the animation style too.
