    Power Supply Question?

    I'm buying an all new rig with....

    Cyclone GeForce GTX 550 Ti
    AMD Phenom II X4 3.5ghz
    8 gigs of ram and a gigabyte mobo

    I have an older 550w power supply, will that be able to run everything? Will the fact that its somewhat old be a factor with connections and what not?

    New motherboard needs 4 or 8 pin EPS connector and 24 pin ATX power connector with optional 4-pin breakout part.

    Old PSU/motherboard comes with 20 pin power and 6-pin extra CPU power, that is not compatible.


    Anyway, buying AMD based system is not really recommended right now. You get better value for money in games with low end Intel + upgradeable motherboard.
    Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
