Experienced System Requirements; Buying a Gaming Laptop

My question to you is short and simple; What would you recommend as system specs to play WoW smoothly at wow interface max settings? (I won't be toying around with codes to boost graphics etc.)

Currently I'm in need of a laptop, and since I won't be able to buy both a good laptop and a desktop anytime soon, I'd like to invest in a gaming laptop (against all greater advice). Now I've been looking around various sites and at all different brands - yet sadly enough I don't understand computer specs beyond the basic "a good video card makes your graphics better/ a hard disc can be used to store files"

    My Main issues:
i5/i7 processor - are all i5/i7 the same quality? Does WoW require the heavier i7?
How do I decide on the RAM memory?
How do I read the difference between Video Cards?
Also, in case I need to compensate to match my budget - what ways most in the package?

Suggestions on laptops itself are welcome as well, I'm aiming for a 15" screen and am willing to spend €1400 as a maximum, less is good

Anyone taking the time to lend a hand - muchos gracias in advance!

Well if you're fine with a laptop that has 1366x768 res then this one will be able to max it just fine for well under your budget (maybe turn shadows down a notch)

For a bit more this one can do it at a higher res, 1600x900

And if you want to do it at full HD 1920x1080... it'll eat up your whole budget:

Imo though you should buy like a 400-500 euro laptop and then sink 900-1000 euros into a nice gaming pc... would get better gaming performance and a more portable laptop (with better battery life most likely).

Any of these would make great cheap laptops:

And the remaining budget would make a much better gaming computer than any laptop could be with the full budget.

First of all thanks for the help. The reason I was thinking of getting a gaming Laptop is because I am moving to China for a period of 6-12 months, and I need a laptop either way. Its my impatience wanting the Gaming laptop, but following your advice I'm checking out the budget selection

Would you think those 'budget' laptops you suggested can carry WoW at normal/medium settings perhaps? Since this laptop would be a temporary gaming tool I'd probably not really use it for 25 man raiding, but just leveling up/gearing characters. I've looked up the system requirements but they use the old standards thus leave me clueless:

Dual-core processor, such as the Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 X2
3D graphics processor with Vertex and Pixel Shader capability with 256 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600 or ATI Radeon™

Google tells me i3=dual core, yet the same site tells me casual games=i5, any thoughts perhaps?
Then for the video card, how can I individually check which card meets the requirement? since so many models use a different card it seems pointless to ask for individual cards?

None of those would do particularly well for wow if at all.
If you want to go the temporary laptop route I'd suggest this one:

It'll breeze through wow on medium/good settings and still cheap.
