i think it's more... pandarens can't be warlocks, only druids could complain that "druids can't be pandas", but that might be a new minor glyph for bear form who knows....

i don't think that pandarens would even be cool as locks, fluffy cute pandas shouldn't be evil demon summoners IMO

Lore-wise it definitely makes sense. The Pandaren are a race that values the good things in life. Warlocks don't quite fit that bill.

on the topic of model updates, it's widely speculated that player models will be updated as well in MoP because of the unique monnk animations and the current models unable to do them
