    7644 benchmark score

1920x1080 everything maxed, ran beautifully, but my PC is only 3 weeks old and cost quite enough money so it should run like a dream to be honest XD

I have to focus on not getting my hopes up too high this time round after watching that, because it did look pretty awesome...

    1280x720
    Max settings
    Performance: 10323 "Extremely High"
    Average FPS 96.8

1440x1080 (My native Resolution is 1440x900, so that's what I'll be using)
    Max settings
    Performance: 8178 "Extremely High"
    Average FPS 71.4

Decided to give 1920x1080 a try even though my monitor doesn't support it.
    Max settings
    Performance: 7278 "Extremely High"
    Average FPS 61.6

    I can live with this.

I used the benchmark and got a 1300 score, which i believe is wrong.

it says that a pc under 1500 wouldn't even run the game, but i got a i5 3,1ghz and a geforce gt 620. Those are not HORRIBLE specs...

Were you running it on settings too high for your pc's hardware?

This is the first Final Fantasy game where I think the main character of another game (Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance) could look even more laughable than the main character of the Final Fantasy game.

Still, Final Fantasy X is the standard to which this game will be held; having been the best game thus far. Will be interesting to see what it's like.

Actually, most people still hold either FF 6 or 7 as the highest standard. 7 has more nostalgia value, but 6 was just one of the best ever for story and such.

Didn't know it was that bad but i was still running Tera, Dota 2 , LoL, WoW in ultra settings. So, how am i not supposed to RUN the game?

As you start it up there is a settings button you can micromanage the settings it will run at, you can either use a premade low / medium / high type preset, or change each setting according to your needs. You can also adjust the resolution! Good luck

The original incarnation of this game was also pretty demanding on your PC too, way more so than Dota / WOW etc. Tera is insanely well optimized, and this game probably isn't as forgiving on older machines. You also may have some processes running, or some issue causing you to get a lower score? Also I got my score running it off an SSD as well, which may well affect the outcome.

the 620 is like $40 for a reason, its not meant for gaming

FF6 & 7 I believe to be the children of nostalgia. Having played through them all, be it FF1, FF3 (and the DS remake), FFX and everything both after and in between, i'd consider FFX to be the best by a long, long shot. Still, taste is subjective so perhaps I should have said FFX shall be the standard to which I personally shall hold it.

Largely irrelevant as I'm going to be upgrading my PC in the next month, but for funzies I got a measly ~900 on 1920x1080 and a 2059 on 1280x720 with my Phenom II x4 925 @2.8GHz and Radeon 5670.

Pleasantly surprised it ran the low end as well as it did

Edit: Seems I got the old version of it as well. 2372 on medium settings at 1920x1200 res.

FFX is a great game, and I consider it one of the best, but it's radical departure from an open world map and it's linearity hurt it a bit for me.

FFXIV is an MMO though, so ultimately it will have to compete in my book with WoW and will be compared to the more recent crop of MMOs, not other FF games (obviously excluding XI).
