PTR and addons

I've been watching some videos on youtube of PTR DS boss fights, and some PoV's look like they've got addons enabled.

No matter what I do, I can't figure this out. A lot of people are telling me that PTR is basically vanilla UI only, but then
in PTR tradechat I had a few people tell me that some addons actually work. Perhaps I was being trolled.

Can anyone give me a real answer? lol. thanks guys.

I have Bartender and Recount working on the PTR.... some/most addons will work you'll just need the alpha versions in some cases.

Most of the good UI Packs (tuk, lui,mono etc) working fine on prt. And there's nothing special about ptr client, its basicaly the same as liver ealms. The reason why some addons stop working is cause sometimes blizz makes API changes from patch to patch.
