    Sinestra Phase 2

During several attempts tonight we found ourselves in a peculiar situation due to our composition, and are wondering if there was anything we could have done better.

The details stick to being that due to the fact we were running with 3 healers, we only had 1 Retadin and 1 prot warrior (running 2 prot warrior tanks) for the interupts on the spitecaller, the warrior meant to be helping out the retadin was of course the OT who by this time, still has lots of damage stacks from the whelps, so we have a situation where the warrior cant stun the mob since being within 8 yards causes the aoe which is 40k damage (multiplied by the stacks), which kills him, and we cant have him not interupt because the aoe (multiplied by the stacks) instakills him.

Basically, apart from getting a rogue or more than 1 dps on the spitecaller by dropping a healer, is there any other way to do this?

    Thanks in advance.
    Rest

What other classes do you have.

What classes are your healers/other dps? You can't use interrupt/stun/silence on spitecaller to interrupt the spellcast, he'll just become immune to all forms of cc including those that normally work (and as this is obviously going to happen during the spellcast, you will have no time to de-enrage this immunity and properly interrupt the spellcast - there isn't enough time, the ad will instead finish the cast and simply wipe your raid). The way it has to be done is to use any form of cc that breaks on damage (and is usable on Dragonkin) meaning - fears(even healing priest works, but he can miss or resist) / disorients(scatter, blind, gouge) etc. This is why I'm asking about the classes.

EDIT: I remember our DK Death Gripping Spitecaller (given he was standing far enough to actually move the ad), seemed to stop his spell cast as well

    Tonights comp was:

    Holy Pala
    Resto Shaman
    Holy Priest

    Arcane Mage x2
    Retadin
    Affli Lock
    Shadowpriest

    Prot warrior x2

Usually the comp is more balanced, the mages were on the eggs full time with the lock being constantly on the shield, cant remember what the priest was doing (probably the big drake then onto the shield).

I'd recommend splitting dps something like this:
Egg 1: Mage, prot (without stacks), 1 healer (highest dps one, Holy Priest?)
Egg 2: Mage, Ret (should have higher burst over 30sec than spriest/lock)
Big ad: Other prot, spriest+lock+one healer (2nd highest dps, Resto Shaman?)
Holy paladin solohealing here, npc doesn't require healing if you make it within '1 egg phase'.

Once spitecaller appears, then regardless of big drake's health everyone from him swaps to spitecaller and zergs him down while spriest and lock are ready to interrupt his cast with Psychic Scream or Death Coil (you can make a rotation here in case you were worried about 2nd cast which might happen if dps isn't immediately swapping to him). Once people at the eggs are done with dpsing them, they should go back to the middle and dps anything that's remaining in order:
Spitecaller - 1st, Big drake - 2nd, then Sinestra herself.

Hope it helps. There might be a better way of doing this but we're doing something very similar to this and it's working very well.

PS. If your egg dps is strong enough, you can swap the priest with shaman and make him help with interrupts with his fear. Keep in mind it's not guaranteed to hit the mob though.

    Repentance works too

Both your priests should be able to fear the add to interrupt the cast. (and talented Howl of Terror from a lock aswell, but I have no idea about lock speccing)

Also, you don't really need to have your lock on the shield all the time.

Intimidating shout from the OT? Won't cause the aoe but still interupts.
