    Mapping Shift/Control/Alt to mouse buttons...

I have a Logitech MX518 mouse and I would like to map the 4 and 5 mouse buttons (left thumb position for both) to Shift and Control. Can someone help me accomplish this?

Use the Logitech SetPoint software that came with your mouse: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/428/187

I used the SetPoint software to assign Shift and Control to buttons 4 & 5. The Shift and Control mouse buttons work out of game but while in game the buttons do not function? Any help?

Googled a bit more and came across this: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Mice-a...to/td-p/550702

Here's the link and some instructions.

    http://uberoptions.net/

Download SetPoint, download UberOptions, TURN OFF GAME DETECTION in the Mouse Gaming Options tab (it's mutually exclusive with Application Specific Button Settings as far as I can tell, although nothing tells you as that), go to Advanced Settings and add/configure your game. Also, don't be concerned if when you change a button to a modifier key it shows up as "ctrl+" with nothing after it. It's still treating it like you hit Ctrl and then whatever else ingame; If I have something ingame bound to ctrl+5 and I hit my mousebutton 4 and keyboard key 5, it acfivates it.
