I have this thing with Bruno Mars. Holy mother of god he annoys the living sh** out of me. I'm using Spotify and his voice annoys me so much that I ended up paying just to stop his ads. I've never ever tried being so annoyed by any kind of artist before.

Does anyone else have it the same way, maybe not with him, but with some other artists? One that annoys you so much that it can ruin your day?

Also, off topic but if a movie has Dakota Fanning in it, I automatically hate it. This applies to Orlando Bloom as well (I just try to ignore the fact that he was Legolas in LoTR).

Kid Rock. I liked his stuff back in the day, with Bawitdaba and Cowboy and Bullgod. then he started getting weird. he did a country album. he had a rap phase. now he's "sampling" (read: stealing) guitar parts and piano parts from other people's songs. I just turn the radio clean off when he comes on... makes me wanna punch someone...

Well no song "ruins my day", but the two types of music that I hate the most are:

1) Really black sounding rap where the rapper takes his blackness so far to the next level that his oh-so-deep lyrics about bitches and money are hardly decipherable beneath his nasally, whiny voice.

2) Some of the new modern rock that is popular with some women. Now I've got nothing against sexual lyrics, and I don't have a lot against doing drugs... but these songs take it to the next level. The sexual lyrics are so detailed that it literally sounds like porn for the blind. The songs about drugs are so blatant that they are reminiscent of a 17 y/o who just smoked for the first time and has been talking about it for weeks.

People in this thread need to listen to Hip-Hop, not Hip-Pop . There's so much amazing Hip-Hop that's about real story-telling -- it's just not on the radio because it's not marketable.

On topic -- There isn't any particular genre that I dislike because I'm a believer that good music transcends genres. However, I have found the most annoying stuff to be in various EDM subgenres.

Most rap just gets on my nerves. Doesn't matter what it's about, it's usually just violent or obscene in the most distasteful of ways. I don't particularly care for Hip-Hop or Pop either, they're almost as bad. Just drives me nuts, makes me want to punch out my car window lol.
