Skyrim - Meeko

So, most Skyrim players I assume have heard of the dog "Meeko" before. Today I went out searching for him and once I arrived to where he should be around I found him, dead. At first I was a tad upset and tried reviving him with The Ritual Stone spell, didn't work out very well so I just decided to drag his body to where his owner laid dead.
Does anybody know if there is any possible way to revive Meeko so I can have him as my companion (I'm on Xbox so console command stuff won't work)?

Don't think you can, if on PC could probably use some console command to spawn him.

Random Dragons have caused me lots of issues killing of NPC's, but I keep them dead - not arsed on cheating (console commands).

Lame, I really did want that dog but I guess Vigilance is fine, thanks anyway though.
