    What should I get?

First off let me tell you my current specs.

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 945 @ 3.0GHz (stock) Stock cooler
    Ram:4gbs DDR2
    MoBo: Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H
    Graphics: EVGA GTX 560 SC
    PSU: OCZ ZT Series 750W

Now I know I will be purchasing 4 more GBs of ram for my computer, but I'm trying to decide on if I should buy a

    1) AMD Phenom II x4 980-970 Black Edition 3.7-3.5 GHz (stock cooler)

    or

    2) Corsair H100 to replace my stock cooler on my CPU now

If you want to know anymore about my specs just ask

You won't see amazing returns with that CPU, and I wouldn't get an H100. Just get a Hyper 212+ and see if you can bump up the clock a little.

I've read that with that cooler on a micro ATX board that I would need to get low profile ram. The reason I'm looking at the H100 is so I can take use of the duel 140mm fan mounts at the top of my case without having to pay 40-60$ for 2 decent fans

Difference between PhenomII x4 945 and 980 in games is around 10-15% at best, making the upgrade kinda pointless. With overclocking you can get maybe 20-30% more speed in WoW but it will not do miracles and it will not help with any other games.

    Trolling should be.
