Final fantasy help...

i have a choice between getting ff1 or ff2 on my ipod, im a fan of the series but never played the originals. which one is probaly more enjoyable

I would recommend ff1 if you want something more familiar in terms of gameplay and mechanics, ff2 has a....interesting leveling system.

I would personally say 1. Its THE typical RPG imo. 2 was a little diff and good, but I prefer 1. Still play it occasionally

1 if you can handle the fact that it's really traditional, but well, it started a long series for a reason. It's the updated Dawn of Souls version, which is even better.

2 is quirky. You level stats by 'using' them, instead of gaining levels to increase stats, you learn spells through spell books. However, its story is a little bit stronger (not by much). Dawn of Souls adds a post-game thing that's mostly inconsequential.

So, I'd suggest 1.
