New Pet Models on PTS

Here's one that came out of nowhere, some callings have gotten new pet models..except Mages so far, meh

Warrior: Beastmaster Soul







Rogue: Ranger Soul

Razorbeast:




Dire Wolf:




Blood Raptor: may or may not be final model, no armor




Cleric: Druid Soul

Faerie:



The Satyr looks the same so possibly all models aren't done yet, hoping for a new Necro pets look soon

If I had to guess I'd say that since the art team got done with ID there's probably some spare time to focus on something else? Although, I am still curious about this city-zone we're getting, surely that is being worked on... And then there is Planetouched Wilds... Hmmm...

Not at all, I suspect that the art team just had some spare time and wanted to do something cool. I understand that some animations may be getting touched up in 1.8 too.

Those look pretty damn awesome. I am guessing that those are the greater versions of them (at least the kitty, pig, and wolf). I definitely do like them, and I look forward to seeing if the mages get the same. Especially the upgraded tank pet for Necro, and the greater air elemental. At least with the earth one, you can definitely tell it's the improved pet. But the skeletal knight (I think it is) looks horrible and the stalwart looks so much better.

I think the images shown are the greater versions.
Likely the regular versions don't have the armor.

Are they making druid useful enough in the next patch to warrant speccing into it? I know there are some gimmick spec that do pretty deep into druid, but as far as I know (and from my testing), it's pretty overshadowed in every aspect by other souls : /
